“We’re not scared,” one of them said, all of them giggling.

“Seriously, don’t mind us,” another said, holding up her phone and snapping a picture.

Reece blushed, using the towel around Nick’s neck to pat Nick’s forehead and face dry of sweat. “You went hard out there.”

“Not as hard as I’m gonna go on you later.”

Reece could only laugh nervously and blush harder as the girls surrounding them gasped, giggled, and whispered.

Little did he know, it was only the start of lots of public affections.

“I see you’ve got Reece Keys with you after your win tonight. You two have been causing quite the stir this year since your NBA debut. It’s been a huge year for both of you. How do you two plan to celebrate?”

Reece’s hand rubbing up and down Nick’s back reminded him to keep his response clean, because otherwise he would’ve gladly told the woman what they had planned for the evening.

“First off, it’s gonna be Reece Gray real soon. Next year will be even bigger for us. As long as Ree’s with me, it’s a celebration.”

Reece hid his face against Nick’s arm, but there was no hiding his grin from the camera or the reporter.

“Oh?! Is this your engagement announcement?”

Nick grunted in confirmation, and while Reece still appeared bashful, he placed his left hand over Nick’s chest, showing off the diamond-studded silver band on his ring finger.

It had taken a while to get the timing right, but Nick had gone all out for therealproposal. They had their first helicopterride together, right over the beach where Nick had flowers and candles spread out in a very romantic “Will You Marry Me”, and they’d had to circle back because Reece didn’t even see it the first time. They’d been too busy with their eyes and lips on each other.

When he did see it, Reece screamed and laughed, cooing over it being so romantic and thinking it was for someone else’s proposal. And Nick let him think just that until they’d landed and walked there to see it for themselves. There were professional photographers there who Reece was friends with, capturing every moment, including Nick taking a knee in the sand and showing off the ring. Reece’s tears. All the kisses that followed.

Nick told him they didn’t have to rush things again, just that he knew Reece was his person, and he wanted to promise himself to Reece forever, no matter when they finally decided to get married. That he’d leave it up to Reece. But at the same time… He couldn’t wait to marry Reece. Even if it would never stop people from pining after his sexy model kitten, Nick wanted his name on what belonged to him.

“Well, congratulations on the win and on the engagement. We’re all cheering for you two.”

“Thank you,” Reece said and Nick just looked at him, interview and reporter forgotten. Reece was more beautiful than he’d ever been, and everything about him made Nick soften and ache to get hard at the same damn time.

“Ugh, fuck. Fuck.Fuck.”

“Hey!” Reece whined, hands wrapped around Nick’s calves with just the right amount of pressure—sliding down to his ankles and working their way back up to his knees.

“Fuck, that feels so fuckin’ good.”

“Stop it!” Reece smacked Nick on his ass but went right back to work.

“The fuck? I’m the only one slappin’ ass ‘round here.”

Nick was cute when he was slurring and drooling, and Reece knew his body was sore and worn out. But…

“How come you don’t moan like that when we’re doing other things?”

“Other things? Wait—I wasn’tmoaning.”

“You were,” Reece huffed and squeezed Nick’s legs with just enough pressure to make him moan again. Loud and long.

“Fuck!”

“See.”
