He’s so close.
“You’re doing so good for me,” I praise him, “taking care of me and our boys. Making sure I can heal. You’re such a good dad to our boys.”
“Fuu-ck” his breath hitches half way through the word, and I know he’s right on the edge.
“Come for me husband, let me have it.”
His whole body shudders, his hips jerking forward as he begins to spill all over my hand. His warm cum covers my skin and the space between us. A whispered curse leaves his mouth right before he removes his head from my neck and slams his lips onto mine.
The kiss is hot and demanding, I try to push him further but he tears his mouth away from mine with a shuddered breath.
“You’re fucking trouble.” His chuckle comes out breathy and raw, showing no seriousness to his tone. He leans forward, pecking my lips before he tucks himself back in his briefs. “Wait here.”
He steps around me heading to the main bathroom door that’s connected to our room. He returns with a warm cloth to clean us up and we both quickly change.
Returning to the living room we are met with a devilish smirk from Xavier as he stands there in the middle of the room with his arms across his chest.
“I see we did a wardrobe change while we were back there–did things get messy?”
“Xavier!” Harper hisses at him.
Monty walks over to Xavier and shrugs his shoulders. “Little man pissed all over my shirt, I wasn’t going to come back out here with pee on me.” In the next moment Monty wraps his arm around Xavier’s neck and tries to drag him down to the ground.
The two men begin to wrestle on the ground like children, all while Shiloh is hooting and cheering on the match. My heart swells at the happiness of the moment. Walking around the couch, I sit down beside Harper while Shiloh runs and jumps on top of the guys.
“They’re ridiculous” I comment, shaking my head as a smile spreads across my face.
Looking over I see the look in Harper’s face. That’s the face of a girl who’s going to jump her man as soon as they walk through the door of their house. I don’t blame her. The first time I saw Monty with a kid I damn near threw out my birth control and told him to put a baby in me.
Once the guys settle down, we decide to order pizza.
It’s well after nine p.m. when Monty comes down from the hallway after putting Shiloh to bed. Our son is famous for prolonging bedtime, and it’ssomething we’ve been working on. I’ve got Hayes on my breast giving him one of the last feedings for the night.
Unlatching him, I snap back my bra into place. I sit Hayes up into a burping position and pat his back until a loud burp sounds.
“For such a small thing, he sure does burp loud.” Harper comments with a soft smile on her face.
I chuckle as I wipe the spit up from his mouth that came after the burp. “You’d be surprised by the loud noises that come from such a small thing.” Giving him a once over I look back to Harper, “did you want to hold him?”
Harper’s head nods enthusiastically as she gets up and takes him from my arms. She begins to rock him and walk around the area of the living room as she talks to him.
“So Monty,” Harper starts, “Xavier was telling me that you were thinking about a nanny for when you go back to work?”
“What?” I say, my eyes finding my husband. He’s rubbing the back of his neck and looking sheepish.
“Uh, yeah. I was considering it, but I was going to discuss it with Josie first.” He glares daggers at Xavier who has anoh shitlook on his face while he mouths sorry to him.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize that Monty hadn’t discussed this with you yet!” Harper’s eyes are wide with panic. “I just wanted to say that Evie’s been looking for a job, and she’s already met Shiloh.”
My mind flashes back to the stunning blonde we met on New Year’s Eve a few hours before my water broke. Her personality was contagious, and I couldn’t take my eyes off her. To be fair, neither could Monty. For a brief moment, I almost asked Monty if we were ready to bring another person into our relationship again. Then my water broke, and we know what happened after that.
“Do you think she’d be a good fit?” I question, realizing I’m going to give her a shot before I even know the answer. Even if she just helps me out until the doctor gives me the all clear. I wouldn’t mind getting to know her a bit more. Besides, it’s not like it could be something more.
“Oh, absolutely. I mean, I may be biased because you know she’s my best friend. But she’s even helped take care of me after Dalton and I broke up. She never let me sleep alone, but also knew when I needed space. I mean of course she wouldn’t leave the kids alone. She’s responsible.”
“Harper.” Xavier quietly cuts her word vomit off, kissing the top of her head before whispering in her ear.
Her face flushes, “sorry, I’m a good rambler when I get nervous.”
