“It’s very on brand, though. We can braid each other’s hair and shit while we do it,” Luna teases as we all head over to the circle of beanbag chairs.

There are only two cameramen that stay out here as well as someone I’m assuming is a producer.

Is it weird that no one has introduced themselves? I recognize faces and what they do at this point, but as far as actual conversations, they’re few and far between. Or they just don’t happen at all. Maybe it’s to keep up the illusion that we’re a lot more alone on this island than we actually are? I don’t know.

“Take it away,” Luna says, pointing to me before taking a sip of her drink.

I grab the first card from the deck and turn to Cora to my right. “Dish or dare?”

She thinks about it for a moment. “Dish.”

Glancing at the card, I see two prompts and begin reading the one labelled “dish.”

“Have you and yourLocked Inpartner sealed the deal?”

The card says insert a dramatic wink on the word “deal,” but absolutely not. Cora’s face is already turning beet red from embarrassment.

She ducks her head and rubs her arm nervously before giving a little headshake.

Bella laughs. “GIRL! What do you mean? Connor and I are going at it every chance we get.”

Cora shrugs shyly, and I quickly interject for her, “It’s not a competition.”

“Um, it literally is,” Savannah says with an “Are you fuckingstupid?” look. Then again, I think her face might be permanently stuck like that. It’s probably the same look her mother has given her all her whole life before drowning herself in dry martinis.

I give her a deadpan stare. “Well, if the whole point of the show was to spread your legs the fastest, I’m sure you would have already won the grand prize by now.”

My blow doesn’t affect her, and in fact, she smiles proudly.

“You’re right because I had Landon on his knees for me on the first night.”

My unfazed expression drops in an instant, and she smiles triumphantly. I want to call her out for being a fucking liar, but honestly, I thought she was lying about Noah and that turned out to be extremely true. She and Landon were attached at the hip before she blew up things with me and Noah. Is it a surprise that they’ve fucked? No. I just don’t particularly like that mental image. At all. Honestly, I think I need some fucking bleach for my brain.

I pass the cards to Cora, and she turns to Angel.

“Dish or dare?”

“Dish,” she says, playing with the ends of her hair.

Cora nods. “Is there any other contestant here who you’re attracted to besides yourLocked Inpartner?”

The audacity of this woman, I swear. Because she doesn’t take a long time, there’s nothing she needs to think over. She turns to face Bella and nods.

“Yes.”

The entire group goes silent while Bella’s face turns to stone. There’s no need for Angel to say anything more—her smirk screams, “I want your man, and I’ll have him if I please.”

I’m not sure what the drama is between these two. It could be nothing outside of them rubbing each other the wrong way, but something tells me there’s more to it.

I wonder what would happen if a locked-in couple broke up.Is that allowed? If they’re looking for drama, that definitely is it right there. They’ve never addressed what would or wouldn’t happen, though.

“Okay, you bitches are getting a little boring. Where are the dares? Come on,” Luna says, quickly breaking up the tension.

Angel takes the cards and looks at her. “Fine, dish or dare?”

“Dare,” Luna says confidently.

Angel reads over the card and smirks. “Give us a show. Perform your best lap dance.”
