“I’m never one to leave a party early,” Calista says in my ear as she grinds against me, those breasts feeling so good against my chest I might explode. “But in this case, I’ll make an exception.”
I slide my hand down to her lower back and hold her writhing body against me.
“Let’s try to slip out without anyone noticing.”
We quickly find out there’s no chance of that happening. This crown on my head might as well be a beacon fire on a clifftop. Every eye finds us as we try to sneak away.
But no one minds. There’s a roar of excitement when they see us leaving.
They know we’re off to make heirs. Maybe the next Wolf King will be consummated tonight.
I certainly hope so.
I can’t wait to see this beautiful woman with a round belly, knowing my child is growing in her womb. I’m getting hard just thinking about it.
“Are we going in there?” Calista asks as I head for the castle. She’s looking up at the King’s tower in shock. It always looks much bigger up close.
“I’m not exactly going to take the Queen of the Stormfur Realm to the forest now, am I?”
“As long as you’re there, I don’t mind,” she answers with a grin.
I stop in my tracks, push her up against the stone wall, and kiss her so hard she moans. I love the taste of her mouth. I can’t wait to taste the rest of her.
My hands keep wandering like they have a mind of their own. I can’t seem to stop them. Her breath quickens as I slide my palm over her breast, giving it a firm squeeze.
“Oh, Kieran,” she moans, dropping her head back. I immediately kiss her neck, tracing my newly-formed mark with my tongue. My aching cock presses against her thigh and she whimpers. “We’ve waited so long… Don’t make me wait anymore.”
With that, I pick her up and toss her over my shoulder. She squeals as I run to the entrance of the castle, barely paying attention to the guards as they quickly open the huge woodendoors. I sprint up the spiral staircase, carrying her like we don’t have a second to lose because we don’t. I need hernow.
My hunger isravenous. My need insatiable. This is going to be a fun week.
I kick open the doors to the royal quarters, which are now mine. No. They’reours.
It’s the largest room in the castle, occupying the entire top floor of the King’s tower. Stone walls hung with thick tapestries to keep the cold out, a fireplace big enough to stand in already roaring with a fire someone had the good sense to light in anticipation of tonight. Animal fur rugs cover the stone floor. A table set with wine and food that neither of us are going to touch for a very long time.
And the bed.
Gods, the bed.
Four posts of dark carved oak, thick furs and silk sheets, wide enough for a wolf and his queen and everything they’re about to do to each other for the next week.
Calista looks around the room with those dark eyes taking everything in.
“This is all yours?” she breathes.
“No. It’s ours.”
“It’s a little bigger than what I’m used to,” she says as she looks around. I remember her small room on the ship with that tiny bed. Even that would have been enough for me. I just want to be alone with her no matter where we are.
She turns to look at me and the firelight catches her gorgeous face. I swallow hard, wondering how so much beauty can be concentrated in one woman. She’s breathtaking.
“Is there somewhere I can get washed up?” she asks. “I’ve been on the water for so long. And I got some blood on me from the battle.”
“Are you hurt?” I ask, closing the distance as I frantically look her over.
She laughs and gently pushes me back. “It’s not my blood.”
Thank the gods.
