“Well, I've been thinking about how none of our tattoos are entirely private. And I love that so many of the fans get it and see what’s going on, but what if I want to get something that’s for us alone? Where no one else can see.”

“Considering how you like to button your shirts, ornotbutton them, there aren’t many places on you that the public doesn’t get to see.” Trevor didn’t say that with a hint of resentment. Nope.

Skyler stepped back and grinned, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, and it was a little frightening, to be honest. He very slowly, deliberately, twisted the lower half of his body around and patted his ass.

He had to be kidding.

Trevor fixed him with a questioning look, but his grin didn't break.

Okay. Not kidding, then.

“Oh, hell. For fuck’s sake, Sky.” He shook his head, resignation already setting in. “The things I do for you, I swear.”

Skyler stepped closer and gave him his most genuine smile now. It lit up the whole room. “Don’t act like I’m not the best thing that’s ever happened to you.”

“You are,” Trevor replied automatically.

Because he was. He really fucking was. Skyler James was the best damn thing that had ever happened to him, and that included becoming a member of Boys Will Be Boys.

Guess he was getting a tattoo on his ass.

“Fine. What the hell are we going to get?”

“You should get a sun,” Skyler said.

“Because I think the sun shines out of my ass?” he quipped.

But Skyler gave him a piercingly serious look and said, “You know why.”

Yeah. He did.

“Then you have to get a star.”

Trevor didn’t think it was possible for Skyler’s smile to grow brighter, but it did.

“Deal.”

God, his life was fucking strange. But also, pretty incredible.

“Should I let the guys back in here and we’ll try this song again?” he asked. “Because if you can finish fast enough, I’d love to take you back to bed.”

Skyler bit his lip and nodded.

Trevor gave him one more kiss before pushing him toward the booth. Then he opened the door, and Ed and Gary walked back in and took their seats without a word. They got their equipment ready and gave Skyler the signal.

He sang it perfectly this time.

People think they know all about us

But they don’t know what goes on when the lights go down

Don’t know how you’ve got me spinning around

Head up in the clouds

Having trouble coming back to solid ground

And if Skyler turned around and shook his ass in Trevor’s direction while he sang, and Trevor burst out laughing, Ed and Gary didn’t need to know why.
