“It was a first for me too. I mean coming that intensely. Wow. I don’t know what to say.”

He kissed the tip of her nose. “We’re good together.” And when he smiled tenderly, her insides lit up like a firework display.

Nuzzling her face into his chest, she closed her eyes. She was full, spent, and exhausted. As he stroked, sleep came quickly.

The following morning,Raven woke to Muerto’s breathing. At first she was disoriented since she’d grown accustomed to sleeping alone, but when the memories of the previous night flooded her mind, she rolled over and watched as he slept. Strands of dark hair clung to his forehead and neck, and his usual smartass demeanor was gone in sleep. He’s beautiful. She lightly brushed the tendrils from his face, then softly kissed his lips. His eyes fluttered open.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you. Go back to sleep,” she whispered as she stroked his cheek.

Smiling widely, he snagged her waist with his arm and drew her closer. “You look beautiful in the morning.” He kissed her eyelids, then her lips. “You’re so fuckin’ awesome,” he murmured against her skin as his kisses trailed down past her chin to the soft flesh of her neck. “So sexy,” he breathed as his strong hands began to caress her along with his mouth, lips, and tongue.

So gentle and enticing. Shivers swept across her skin, and she felt her nipples rise. Slow, heated strokes singed her as he moved down her body. She let go, feeling nothing but the delicious sensations his sensual ministrations lavished on her until she was nothing but her body. His tongue, like soft velvet, dipped into her aching folds and a sweet spasm went through her. It was intense and its quickness startled her. Then ripples of pleasure washed over her as each nerve, cell, and muscle responded to her orgasm. His panting drew her attention to him, and she grinned as she yanked him hard against her.

Soon the small room was filled with the sounds of their ecstasy and scent of their arousal as they gave each other what they craved.

A couple hours later, Raven sat at the kitchen table sketching a new idea she had for a painting when Muerto walked in, the scent of soap and freshness lingering on him.

“Do you want me to make you a breakfast burrito? Eggs, cheese, serrano peppers, green chiles, potatoes, onions, and red peppers?”

He came behind her and draped his arms over her shoulders. She tilted her head back and looked up at him as he planted a big kiss on her mouth. “Sounds delicious.” After giving her breasts a squeeze, he went over to a kitchen chair and sat down.

“Coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, all of the above, or none of the above?” she asked as she bent down to take out a frying pan.

He laughed. “You like choices. Coffee and orange juice are good.”

While they ate, they chatted about her paintings, the upcoming rally, the child abuse charity the club supported, and his mother’s birthday party.

“Do you think your sister’s going to be mad about the tent?”

“Probably. She’s one of those who isn’t happy unless she’s pissed about something.”

“I went to a wedding once where the reception was in a huge tent and it had AC, chandeliers, lights everywhere, fancy table settings, and so much more. It was just like I was in a fancy hotel in one of the ballrooms. I was blown away. If the tent your friend’s getting for the party is anything like that, it’ll totally rock.” She cleared the dishes from the table.

Muerto nodded. “I trust Raul, so I know it’s gonna be kickass.” He stood up. “I gotta get going. I’ve got a ton of stuff I have to do before I head over to the pool hall. You wanna come by tonight?”

“Sure. Around nine or ten? I’m going to work the rest of the day on my painting. I’m almost done.”

“Cool.” Throwing her a hard stare, he rubbed his hand over his five o’clock shadow. “No hustling, okay?”

“Yeah, sure. I wasn’t planning on it.”

Catching her around the waist when she came by to wipe off the table, he kissed her deeply. “I wish I could spend the day with you. I can’t wait for tonight. You do something to me.”

“Tonight seems like it won’t came fast enough. I’ll drop you at the clubhouse.” She kissed him back, then stepped away.

“No worries, sweetie. I texted Goldie to pick me up and he just said that he’s out front. I gotta go.”

She followed him outside and he kissed her quickly before he opened the car door. “See you tonight,” he whispered in her ear, the feel of his lips against her earlobe lighting up her sensory circuits. Sliding inside the car, he winked at her and then closed the door.

She watched until the vehicle was out of sight, then turned around to head back inside. Humming, she was on cloud nine. Her whole body buzzed and a rush of warm excitement spread through her.I’m so damn happy! But she had to pull back on the reins because she didn’t want to get hurt.He gets major kudos for being sweet as shit this morning and making a date with me for tonight, but I don’t want to lose myself yet.

As she ambled up the walkway, she felt someone watching her. She spun around and met Walter’s glaring eyes. His face had red splotches and was bloated with anger.

“Hey,” she said in a small voice. There was no answer, only rage emanating from him. Quickly turning around, she dashed to her porch, went inside, and locked the door. What the fuck’s his problem?Deciding that he wasn’t going to ruin the good mood she was in, she picked up her paintbrush and began working. As she painted, Muerto and their time together flitted through her mind, and she worked feverishly with a big smile on her face.
