All wearing the biggest smiles I’ve seen.

“I should get going,” I say, but they all protest right away.

Even Sebastian seems confused as to why I would want to leave this situation.

I’ll definitely talk to him about this later, and how he would react if it were my family walking through that door.

He would probably have a panic attack right about now.

I don’t have the will to argue with the four of them, though.

Breakfast with the Bennets it is.

Chapter 21

Sebastian

Having my family turn up was a pleasant surprise. Ever since I moved to London, I’ve gotten a little homesick at times, but these last few weeks with Lily have been amazing.

The loneliness hasn’t been as prominent.

I glance over at her, happy to see her a little less rigid than before.

My family catching us all cuddled up together on the couch probably wasn’t her ideal wakeup call.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so panicked. She was adorable.

I couldn’t really care less about them catching us.

My family has teased me about my crush on Lily ever since I first laid eyes on her.

They were all ecstatic to see me with her.

My mom is probably already planning our wedding in her head.

Lily doesn’t know that, so she probably thought I would freak out about this as well.

As soon as that Las Vegas trip is done, I’ll tell anyone willing to listen that she’s mine.

Soon enough, Lily has warmed up and is her usual self, charming my whole family.

Even though they’ve met before, it’s probably been a couple of years since they last saw her.

My parents hang on her every word, and Joseph watches me with a smirk.

He’s been the one to tease me the most about my crush, and I can tell he’s enjoying this.

I don’t mind being teased by him. Soon enough, she will be mine.

Eventually, we have to get ready to leave for the stadium, and Lily says bye to my family before hurrying down to her apartment.

As soon as the door closes behind her, Joseph is all on me.

“Fucking finally, Sebastian!”

I roll my eyes.

“We’re not together. At least not yet,” I tell him, helping my parents clean up the kitchen.
