“You were terrified. Traumatized. Was I supposed to act like the brute you assumed and claim you then and there?Nay.”Vor shook his head. “I fought the desire tooth and nail.”

Snow gasped softly. “And youdoubtthat you’re a changed man?”

Vor met his gaze. “I don’t know that I did a great job of fighting that need. I urged you to bathe with me,remember?”

“When you asked me to follow you, I took your hand freely,” Snow replied. “I knew what would likely happen.”

“I had no right to take you that night. You’d just endured hell. I was a prisoner. I had no future to offer you.” Vor caressed the side of Snow’s face. “But I wassostarved for touch… and true connection. And you were so soft and willing. You were an escape from the hell I’d been living.”

“And now youarefree. We both are,” Snow said. “Show me what you plan to do with that freedom, mate.”

Vor captured Snow’s lips, kissing him hungrily. Snow mewled, rubbing himself against Vor, needing a connection of his own. Before getting it, Vor lifted off him. Snow moaned in disappointment.

Vor crawled lower and took Snow’s hard shaft between his lips. Snow threaded his fingers through the alpha’s black tresses and lifted his hips, feeding his cock into his mate’s warm mouth. His head whipped back and forth against the silk pillowcase, his whines growing in volume.

When Vor’s fingers slid inside him, he raised off the bed, back arching. Snow’s cries bounced off the tapestry-covered walls and were muted somewhat by the fire raging in the hearth some feet away. Another fire burned inside Snow. It grew with every thrust of Vor’s fingers. Slick leaked from him freely, the wet sounds of Vor’s prodding seductive.

Vor’s mouth was unforgiving. He suckled Snow with such strength, using his tongue like a weapon. Snow twisted his fingers in Vor’s hair, pulling some of it from the band of leather at his nape.

It didn’t take long for the tension to build. While it had only been a few days since they’d last been together, it felt like an eternity with all that had happened. Death was a distance he’d never expected to close. It had yawned open, a lifetime of happiness slipping from his fingers.

Now, his happiness had returned.

When Vor looked up at him, their eyes met. All he saw was Vor’s desire to see him pleased. It’s all he’d ever seen since their first moment together. Everything Vor did had been for Snow.

At that thought, the dam broke. Snow came with force, spilling into Vor’s hungry mouth as his body shook violently. Snow screamed his alpha’s name, rechristening him for the world to hear. After he’d come back to earth, breathing fire into his lungs, Snow watched Vor lift his fingers to his lips.

Vor licked Snow’s slick off them one by one before rising to his knees. A deep growl roared through him as he pushed his braies down his muscular hips. Snow lifted his legs, urging his alpha to make them one again. Vor was only too happy to be welcomed home again. With one thrust, he lodged himself halfway insideSnow’s depths. Another had him full-hilt, deep within Snow’s body.

Mouths at war, they kissed as Vor settled in. Snow whimpered when he moved again. Vor’s cock took up so much space, filling Snow like no other man or godemiche ever had. Stars shone at the edges of his vision, the pleasure of his alpha’s body almost too intense. Vor linked his fingers with Snow, their connection complete.

This was his other half, the man who completed him. Joined in all ways, Snow recognized his mate. They needed no ceremony. Fate had stitched them together that first night. Vor was the air in his lungs. The joy in his heart.

No one could tear them apart again.

Their bodies came together over and over, the friction slowly fueling another fire within Snow. A few more thrusts in and they were joined by the others, all naked and their bodies wanting.

“It’s already been a half hour?” Snow asked, sheepish.

“Should we give you more time with your mate?” Hwa asked.

His tone was light, but Snow could see disappointment in Hwa’s eyes. Did they feel unloved due to his connection with Vor? He hoped not. Vor might take up a larger space in his heart because they were mates, but there was plenty of room left for Shen, Hwa, and Owan.

“Nay,”Vor said, holding Snow’s gaze.

Snow’s heart swelled with love as something unspoken was shared between them. He nodded, sensing what Vor wanted to say.

Vor turned to eye the other alphas. “You belong here with our little prince. You held him close when I couldn’t. I’m forever grateful for that.”

Chapter Sixteen

Shen slid his body closer to Vor’s. “We’re not just here for Snow. We lost you, too, Vor.” He eyed Snow. “We care for youboth.”

Vor leaned over and pressed his lips to Shen’s. Watching the two alphas kissing made tears burn at the backs of Snow’s eyes. Owan and Hwa crawled into the bed and shared their own kisses with Vor, each of them showing a tenderness Snow had yet to see from any of them. There was desire there, but Vor’s claim that they’d simply used one another when needy was clearly the biggest lie of all. These men had suffered together, and it had forged a bond unlike the one Snow shared with them.

Snow felt no jealousy in the recognition of that. It warmed him to know there were connections beyond what he’d assumed. The fear that Vor might one day send them away faded. They belonged together. All of them.

“Trade places with Vor,” Snow murmured, taking Shen’s hand. “You can have me… and he can have you.”
