Q. What is your relationship to Frankie Callahan?
A. We’re friends. I’m one of her best friends. From college.
Q. Did Ms. Callahan speak to you about her trip to Africa?
A. Yes.
Q. What did she tell you?
A. A lot of different things. It was a big trip.
Q. Could you be slightly more specific, Mr. King? What did Ms. Callahan say about Mr. Falk?
A. She talked about Richard, yes. They had a connection that was pretty intense for Frankie.
Q. What kind of connection?
A. A romantic one.
Q. And that ended in Africa?
A. No.
Q. They had a romantic relationship when they returned to New York?
A. Not a relationship, no. Nothing happened.
Q. But they saw each other?
A. Yes, coffee and dinner. That kind of thing.
Q. Then how do you know there wasn’t physical intimacy?
A. Frankie would have told me.
Q. Did she tell you about the NDA she signed with Senator Foley?
A. I knew what had happened. But not about the agreement until recently.
Q. So Ms. Callahan lied to you?
A. It wasn’t a lie. She never lied about it.
Q. Did she tell you that she’d been to Mr. Falk’s apartment? We have video of her there on the morning of September 10th in her pajamas.
A. He videotaped her?
Q. The video is from the lobby.
A. She was in the lobby in her pajamas? That doesn’t even make sense.
