I glancedat Quincey as we pulled up to Seventh Heaven. Yes, we had come to the club together on many occasions, but lately it had been just me. So when he called me downstairs this evening because the car was ready, I wasn’t expecting him to tag along with me.
Since I had made arrangements with Courtland, my stomach was in knots.
Yes, playing at the club was within the rules, but this time felt different like I was cheating for real or something.
I didn’t know, I couldn’t explain it with words.
Probably because you already let this man make you cum off the island—multiple times.
And would do it again if given the space and opportunity.
Hell yeah, and that’s the problem.
And maybe it was, but my thoughts on how open my marriage would be were slowly changing with me expanding the boundaries when it came to Courtland.
It was like I’d been captive all my life and even a sample of the way he could make my body feel had me pulling against the restraints more.
It was pure lust and I loved it.
“Josie, did you hear me?” I shook my head.
“I said don’t forget to turn in your updated health papers. And if you need me, I’ll be upstairs for the better part of the weekend. Be safe and have fun and I love you.” He kissed my lips lightly before he got out to open my door, greeting the valet.
“I love you too.” I waited for him to retrieve both of our suitcases, rolling them to the front desk so we could check in.
Then, like clockwork, Quincey and I became strangers the minute he passed me the key to the suite with us going our separate ways.
It was their annual pajama party, so I headed to the suite first, changing into my sexy lingerie. After that I made my way back downstairs to wait at the bar for Courtland. My goal was to be the first and last thing he saw during his trip to the club this weekend.
I blew out a nervous breath as I ordered my drink. I kept it light, only getting a glass of wine. It was enough to settle my nerves but not have me feeling it before he made it.
I grabbed my glass, taking a sip, with my hand shaking the whole way to my mouth.
“Johnni, relax. It’s not like he’s a stranger; he’s your man.”
This was the first time since my introduction to coming to Seventh Heaven that I could remember feeling the slightest bit of anxiety. I had never had my boyfriend here at the same time as my husband.
Johnni, you’ve never had a boyfriend beyond Quincey.
Another insane thought that had me gnawing on my bottom lip.
“Yeah, relax Queen Lourdè; it’s just your man.” His cool breath tickled the nape of my neck as his spicy woody scent took over my senses. He crowded me, placing both arms around me, kissing my bare shoulder gently, making me gasp. I held in the breath, as if I were waiting for permission to release it.
Courtland flagged down the bartender, then leaned into me, invading my space more.
“Lou, you gotta breathe, baby.” His big hand now rubbed my chest as if that was all I needed to help me do the thing that came naturally.
“There you go, Queen Lourdè.” This time when he addressed me, I could focus enough to know Courtland was leaving out Johnni from the title and had slipped that simple term of endearment in there.
“All these new names. Now I’m Queen Lourdè, huh?”
He chuckled as the bartender finally made it over to get his order of Cognac.
“Yup, that crown you earned changed your title. You’re Queen Johnni Lourdè and I’m just your Chief, here to serve you.”
He spun me around just as he downed his drink, getting me drunk off his heavy gaze on me.
“Are you ready to play, baby?” I nodded, with Courtland laying two bills on the bar top, tipping the bartender. He held out his hand and I placed mine into his, fitting perfectly, letting him lead me to the elevators. It had been a while since we had beenhere and I had to admit it felt weird being back with my man, like my real one.
