“I fucking knew it. Damn, the fucker is going to kill me. You two are coming with me and Oryn to get her out of the club, now. This was a fucking set up. They fucking knew that Delaney would come to see her hurt friend.” Winger pulls me to my feet.

“NO, I am not leaving Monica unguarded.” Mr. Osbourne stands firm. “Lance, go. Help get Delaney to safety.”

“Monica, I will come and see you when this is all over, okay, babe. Please take care of yourself.” I kiss her forehead, my chest tight from leaving her while she is in so much pain.

“Delaney, now.”

With a nod, and my arm securely in Winger’s hold, I am removed from the room. The men surround me as we hurry down the hall back toward the exit door. There is a loud bang, and the building shakes as we step outside.

I cry out as a burst of energy hits my back. Falling forward, my cheek collides with the floor.

“Fuck, we are under attack,” Lance bellows.

Lifting my head, I see a wave of vampires snarling as they run for us.

“Fuck, protect Delaney,” Winger commands.

I am lifted off my feet and pushed back through the door.

“Stay here,” Winger says, putting his phone to his ear.

I do not hear what he says, but I have to guess that he is calling in the club.

“Fuck, they keep coming,” I hear Oryn say.

“We need to get her inside and lost in the crowd,” Lance offers.

“Fuck,” Winger swears, and I can imagine him running his hands through his shoulder-length hair. “Okay.”

More grunts and snarls. The sound makes my body shake in fear. Looking around, I see the room that hosts Monica, but I cannot go there. I cannot put her in more danger; she was hurt enough already.

The sounds of fighting and screeching fill the night air. I tremble against the wall, not knowing what to do.

Then the door swings open, making me jump out of my skin. The three men step back inside, and I scan their bodies, seeing some blood on Lance and Winger.

“We need to get you inside of the club, that way we can hide you in plain sight. At least until the rest of the club gets here and your man,” Winger informs me.

I nod, still shaking in fear.

“Damn, it is like a war zone out there.” A sweet voice appears.

I turn to see Izzy; she is letting us see her.

“You are one wanted lady, Del.” She looks to Winger. “The Fury is here; I have seen the old hag.”

“Fuck, good looking out, Iz.”

“Always, Pres.”

“Okay. This way.” Lance leads us down the hall that I know leads to the main room in the club.

I hear some grunts and growls from behind me, but I do not look back, keeping my gaze on my feet to make sure that I do not trip over anything. Lance pulls me through the door, and myears are assaulted with the sound of the loud music beats. Dance music is being pumped out of the speakers.

“No. Something’s wrong.” I try to pull back, but he keeps a hold on me.

“I will not let anything happen to you, Delaney; you have my word,” Lance says, then nods to Winger, who nudges me forward.

“Behind the bar,” Pres says.
