“Yes. That sun had me sweating and feeling sticky. You know how much I hate being sticky.”
“Unless, I’m in between those legs,” Arsenio said and kissed my temple.
I smirked before holding my glass up to my lips and taking a sip of the champagne.
“You’re so beautiful, you know that?” Arsenio asked.
“Yes. You been telling me a lot lately,” I said.
I’m sure he was telling me that because over the last couple months Alicia and Ryker had inspired me to workout and change my eating habits. I don’t do near ‘bout as much as they do in the gym, but I do walk a little and watch my eating. In two months, I was down twenty pounds, and I was losing the weight in the right place. Alicia was telling me to not to lose too much because she loved gripping on me. Whatever mama wants, she gets.
I looked to see my favorite couple walking over to us, grinning. You would have thought that they had been in the bathroom fucking. Ryker had handed Arsenio a mic and I smiledat the thought of what he was about to say for my birthday. Arsenio didn’t talk much, so the fact that I was about to get a speech for my birthday had me shook.
Arsenio cleared his throat and I looked up at him. “Yo, this my baby twenty-eighth birthday. Don’t she look good as fuck?” Arsenio said, and everybody started cheering for me. “Anyway, baby I want you to know that these last four years have been nothing short of amazing. I know that every day ain’t been peaches and cream, but I’m working my ass off trying to make sure that I please you.”
Oh no. He’s about to do it. Oh my gosh. He can’t. I don’t want him too. Oh my gosh!I thought to myself.
I missed everything else he said, and when I saw him drop down to his knee and pull the ring out of his pocket, I damn near lost my mind. It felt as if I was getting ready to have a heart attack. When he opened the box, my hand went up to my mouth.
“This is why I been working my ass off for the last few months. I wanted to get you the ring that your ass deserves. Will you do me the honor of being Mrs. Arsenio Baker?”
I couldn’t say anything, but I nodded my head. He placed the ring on my finger and then stood to kiss me. I returned the kiss, but my eyes glanced to Ryker and Alicia who were smiling. They knew! They fucking knew!I thought to myself.
The rest of the evening everyone was partying and shit, while I kept looking at my ring and watching Alicia and Ryker. They didn’t look mad. As a matter of fact, they looked happy. If I get married to Arsenio, where would that leave us? Would we still be able to fuck? I can’t lose them. I don’t want to lose them.
Later that night, Arsenio had too much to drink and smoke, so a little sloppy head put his ass in a deep sleep. I grabbed my phone and texted Alicia.
Me:Can y’all meet me on the deck, please? Thanks.
Alicia:Ok.
On the deck, the moon was bright and very pretty in the sky. I walked to the other end of the yacht where Ryker was sitting in a chair and Alicia was straddling him. I plopped down in the seat next to them.
“You guys knew?” I asked.
“Yes,” they both said at the same time.
“Why didn’t you guys tell me? Why did you guys let me be blindsided like this? What am I supposed—”
“Shhh. You’re supposed to get married. You want this, right?” Alicia asked.
“But… what about us? I love y’all,” I whispered.
“And we love you back, shorty.”
“But…” I bit my lip to hold back my tears.
“I’m addicted to you two. I can’t… I won’t… give you two up.”
“You’re grown and can do whatever you want, but if this is too much for you, then end it. We will not be mad, and our relationship will not change. Do you understand?” Ryker spoke.
I nodded my head. I got up and kissed them both before I went back down to my room with Arsenio. I was going to have to break my addiction to them, but I wouldn’t do it cold turkey. Who could let that type of feeling go, cold turkey?
