She tried to even out herheartbeat, which only quickened with his touch.
Kaelith smirked mischievously, biting his lip as his hand gently gripped the nape of her neck. "You were screaming it last night," he teased, his voice low and seductive.
"I... I did not!" Amara protested, her eyes widening in disbelief.
Shameless man.
Kaelith chuckled, his fingers lightly tracing patterns on her neck as he pulled her face closer to his. "You'll be screaming it soon anyway," he murmured against her lips, a promise laced with desire. "I'll make sure of that."

What Amara wasn’t expecting was the gigantic plane waiting for them. A private airline at that. She was surprised. Kaelith was filthy rich but rich enough to own a private jet? She was starting to wonder how much he made. Millions? Billions? She wouldn’t be surprised if he was the richest man in the whole world. Only she if she could have one per cent of what he owned.
She chuckled at the absurd thought.
The airstrip was covered by guards, and attendants wearing elegant navy blue short skirts were standing outside the jet, waiting for them. Amara swallowed hard. They were beautiful.Insecurity gnawed at her at the realisation that Kaelithprobably flies with them all the time. With these beautiful women.
A pang of jealousy hit her, something she hadn’t expected.
Kaelith slipped his fingers between hers, catching her off guard. When she looked up and met his gaze, her heart skipped a beat at the sight of his warm smile.
Her breath caught as she found herself lost in his eyes, feeling a rush of emotions she couldn't quite put into words.
She felt a sense of belonging wash over her. It was as if she always belonged to him.
Just like she had found him and had lost herself. Even if she wanted to speak, she didn’t know what to say. There was no language she could use to express her feelings. Even the simple “I love you’ seemed vague in front of the sensations he felt whenever he was near her.
And she wanted it to stay like that, forever.
CHAPTER 69
As Amara stepped inside the jet, her eyes widened in surprise, taking in the sheer affluence ofthe interior. The soft cream-coloured walls were accentuated with intricate gold trimmings. Plush leather seats lined the cabin. She looked down at her feet.
The floor was covered in plush beige carpeting; she could tell it was soft underneath her heels. Gleaming wooden panels, polished nicely. An island at the side, and several bottles of high-end alcohol.
The woman at the door bowed slightly. Amara’s gaze wavered to her badge-Lisa. Her uniform was perfectly tailored to fit her slender frame. Her chestnut hair was swept up in a neat bun, with a few loose tendrils framing her delicate features. "Good evening, Mr. De Luca," she greeted, her voice smooth and polished. "I am Lisa, your attendant for the flight. Welcome, sir."
Turning her attention towards Amara, Lisa's smile took on a slightly strained quality. Her eyes flickered with a hint of something unreadable.
"Ma'am," she acknowledged Amara with a nod, her tone polite but lacking the warmth she had shown to Kaelith.“I will prepare the seat-“
Kaelith brushed off Lisa's with a nonchalant wave of his hand, his arm instinctively wrapping around Amara's waist.
"She'll sit with me," he muttered, his tone casual yet firm.
"Come on, little one," he added with a grin as he looked down at her.
Amara didn’t know how to react, she just simply nodded and followed him. Lisa followed after them.“Would you like me to prepare your dinner?”
Kaelith eased Amara onto the plush leather seat, a playful grin tugging at the corners of his lips. With a casual lean, he positioned his hands on either side of her small frame trapping her withhis larger body.
"Do you want something, love?" he murmured, his voice low and soothing as if they were the only two people in the world. His hands rested casually on the armrests, but Amara couldn’ t wave off the way Lisa ’ s eyes wandered to them. Amara couldn ’ t dare to look her way. Embarrassed and feeling utterly tingly.
Amara's cheeks turned pink as she shook her head, her hair falling to partly hide her embarrassment.
"Oh, no, I'm okay, really," she murmured softly, sounding a bit shy. Even though she tried to keep her cool, her nerves showed, giving her a cute, vulnerable charm.
Kaelith grinned warmly, plainly fond of her. "Sure thing. Just tell me if you need anything.”
