Micha studied him for a while. “Are you my daddy?”

Michael looked up at Alex.

Alex nodded. He acted like he was pissed off with the world.

Michael glared at Alex again. “How old are you, Micha?”

“I’m five,” Micha answered. He walked toward him and wrapped his arms around Michael’s neck, hugging him. The bond between them clicked and formed immediately.

Michael wrapped his arms around Micha and hugged him back. His scent, a mixture of his and Alex’s, but stronger. Then he rose to his full height of six-feet-four, towering over Alex. “We need to talk.”

“We have nothing to talk about,” Alex said.

“Oh yes, we do, little omega. Like why you’ve hidden my son from me for five years.”

“I didn’t hide him. You broke up with me because your father didn’t think I was right for you. You know, my blood wasn’t blue enough.”

“Where have you been all this time? I searched for you. It was like you fell off the face of the earth.”

Before Alex could answer, there’s was a loud sound outside.

“They’re back, Papa,” Micha said.

Micha was still in Michael’s arms.

“They who?” Michael asked.

“The bad men who hurt Papa,” Micha answer. “They hurt his lip.”

Michael’s mood shifted. He turned to Alex. “Take Micha into the bedroom and lock the door. Don’t open it until you hear my voice.” He put Micha down.

Alex obeyed, for a change. He took Micha into the bedroom.

Michael heard the lock click.

The goons kicked the door in.

Michael shifted into his true alpha form. He was a lethal killer and he was prepared to defend what was his.

“Nobody touches what is mine.” He made short work of the four men. They hauled asses out of the apartment again as fast as they had arrived.

He got Alex to open the bedroom door. “Pack your things. You and Micha are coming with me.”

“What?” Alex asked. “You can’t just waltz in here after six years and give me orders.”

Michael looked down at him. “Your front door is wrecked, your apartment is busted, and you live in a less than stellar neighborhood. Those guys are going to regroup and be back to exact whatever you owe them.”

Alex mumbled something under his breath, but he headed toward the bedroom door again.

“I’m hungry,” Micha said.

Alex chuckled.” Okay baby. But first we’re about to go somewhere with Daddy.”

“Oh, so I’m Daddy now,” Michael said sarcastically.

Micha peeked out the room. “Is he really my dad?”

Alex nodded. “Yes, he is.” He pulled out two suitcases, one big and one small and began throwing clothes in them.
