“Goodnight, Aiden bloody Donovan.”

“Goodnight, princeling.” Aiden grinned, then winked at Jaci. “See you at breakfast, love. I hear Dorian’s cooking omelets.”

“I want the full hot-tub coffee date report,” she replied. “And no, not just the highlights.”

“You got it.”

Gabriel growled, and with a laugh that echoed down the hall, Aiden finally left them.

“Aiden is literally the sweetest vampire I’ve ever met, which is saying a lot.” Jaci slid her hands over Gabriel’s shoulders and smiled. “I mean, you guys act like these big, brooding, scary monsters, but when it comes down to it, you’re all a bunch of softies.”

“Softies. Right.” Hands finding their way to her hips, Gabriel kicked the door shut behind him and leaned back against it, pulling her closer.

“He and Sasha are so cute together,” she said. “Don’t you think?”

Gabriel kissed her jaw. “Bloody adorable.”

“How cool is it that Charley’s sister is with Dorian’s best friend? I mean, what are the chances?”

“No idea.” He dragged his mouth to her ear, inhaling deeply, his hands sliding over her ass.

“Where did Dorian learn how to cook?” she asked. “How come you don’t cook?”

“I pay people to cook.”

“How’d it go with Rogozin? Did you guys figure out how to take out Viansa?”

“We may have a weapon,” he said, blazing a trail of hot kisses down the side of her neck.

“What kind of weapon?”

“I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow.” Gabriel brought his mouth back to hers, hovering close, his breath warm.

“But I—”

“Jacinda?”

“Yes?”

He arched that devastatingly sexy eyebrow, his green eyes sparkling. “I don’t want to talk about Rogozin and his weapons. Or sweet, adorable Aiden. I don’t want to talk about Dorian’s cooking or Cole’s sexy battle scars or Colin’s Disney-prince hair or any of the many, many reprobates who line up behind the bar at Obsidian every night just to catch a glimpse at the infamous Jacinda Colburn.”

Jaci slid her fingers into his hair, her body pressed tight against his. Through a grin, she said, “Jealous, Prince?”

He huffed out a laugh. “Absolutely not. I mean, mostly not. Yes.Maybe.”

“Maybe?” She brought her mouth to his throat, kissing and nipping the skin, making him shudder.

“Devil’sballs, woman. Everything about you drives me wild. I could scarcely keep my wits about me in that meeting. All I could think about was hunting you down and…” He pulled her closer, his cock hard and insistent against her belly.

“Hmm. Does this mean I’m being punished again?”

“Nowthatis a question I’m happy to answer.” He reached behind him and locked the study door, a wicked grin gracing that sexy, filthy mouth. “You aredefinitelybeing punished. And I’m not letting up until I make youscream.”

Chapter Fourteen

A shiver rolled through Jaci’s body, her thighs clenching as Gabriel lowered his wicked mouth to hers, brushing her lips with a kiss as soft as a breeze.

“Close your eyes, witch,” he whispered. “Don’t open them until I command it.”
