“Damn, Tink. The fuck I do to you?” He frowned.
Sitting up, I stretched and got up. I went to Titan and wrapped my arms around his waist and looked up at him and smiled.
“I’m sorry,” I simpered. “But was in the middle of a good ass nap and you came in here disturbing my peace,” I explained with a smile.
Titan stared down at me but didn’t say anything.
“Why you looking at me like that?” I questioned.
“Lani said you got sick at lunch, and I come home and find you in here sleeping in the middle of the day, then your little mean ass snapping at me for no reason. You got something you wanna tell me, Tink?” He eyed me as if he just caught me in a lie.
“I’m fine and I was tired,” I reasoned, but internally I was trying to remember when the last time I had a period. I had one last month, but I just realized I hadn’t another one yet. I wasn’t worried about it because I tend to skip a period when I’m stressed, and with school and graduation, I was beyond stressed.
“The look on your face lets me know that you don’t believe that shit yourself, Tink,” Titan countered, bringing me out of my thoughts.
“I’ve missed periods before when I’m stressed, and with school and graduation, I was beyond stressed. I’ll be fine and it’ll show up in a few days,” I muttered, not even believing myself.
“Were you fucking when you missed them before?” He asked, not taking his eyes off of me. “Listen, Tink. We’ve been careless as fuck and I rarely make it in time to pull out so you being pregnant can be very possible,” he voiced.
I sat on the bed and thought about all the times that I let this man cum in me. Sometimes I even wrapped my legs around him so he wouldn’t. I wasn’t trying to get pregnant… I was just caught up in the moment.
I looked back and Titan was just staring at me with an unreadable expression on his face, then suddenly he snapped out of it.
“I’ll be back,” he said in a hurry as he trekked back out the room.
I sat there for a moment in shock because I wasn’t expecting him to bolt out of here like he was on the field.
What the hell just happened?
Chapter Twenty-Six
Titan
I know Tink thought that I was mad and bailing on her, but the truth was that I needed to find out sooner rather than later if she was carrying my baby or not. On the way out of the room, I ran into Lani coming out of the kitchen.
“Cady feeling any better?” She asked. She was following behind me like a damn puppy I almost stepped on her ass.
“Man, back up,” I laughed. “And yeah, she said she’s feeling better, but I’m about to go get her a pregnancy test.” Just saying that shit out loud made my chest hurt.
“You really think she could be pregnant, Bubby?” I saw the concern on my sister’s face and that shit made my chest even tighter. My sister was my first baby, and here I was thinking I could be somebody’s daddy for real.
“I guess we’re gone find out.” I started toward the door. “Stay here with her until I get back.”
She nodded, and I headed out to the nearest store that had a self-checkout. I needed to be in and out as quickly as possible without being noticed, but I knew that wouldn’t be possible.
“Shit, I didn’t think this through,” I huffed.
All I needed was the blogs to get a photo of me buying pregnancy tests and the shit would be plastered everywhere whether it was true or not. Picking up my phone, I dialed Sasha’s number. While I waited for her to answer, I thought about the possibility of being a father and wondered if I would be able to do the shit right.
“Yes, Titan?” She answered on the third ring.
“Damn, Sash. What if I were in trouble? You’d be the last muthafucka I call. Fuck took you so long to answer the phone, anyway?” I rambled. My nerves were all over the place, and she was taking her precious time.
“I was minding my business, now what do you need?”
I threw my head back against the seat and let the words come out.
“I need you to go get a pregnancy test,” I admitted.
