Sienna and I work together in silence, moving in perfect unison. I hand her the tarp; she hands me the rope. Working like a well-oiled machine, a very fucked up machine, but an efficient one, nonetheless. I guess that’s what happens when you are a product of this crime lifestyle. There is no escaping it. We were destined to have blood on our hands, because it has been poured into our DNA.

Once Eric and Lizzie are wrapped and ready for transfer, I text Alex to meet us at the brownstone. Sienna wraps her arms around me from behind and whispers in my ear, sending a familiar chill down my spine that only she is capable of.

“Are you sure we need Alex for this? Shouldn’t we just keep this between us?” she asks, kissing my cheek.

“If we want to keep this between us, having Alex involved is crucial.”

I call Alex, and he arrives at the brownstone within minutes. When he meets us in the study, his brow furrows at the rolled-up tarps and now dried blood on both of our clothes.

He hesitates, unsure of how to proceed in front of Sienna. “Um, Car, you want me to drive Ms. Ricci home first?”

“No need. She will be accompanying us,” I say as I reach for her luscious hips, dragging her in close to me.

Alex looks surprised, but he obliges. He remains quiet as we lug the bodies into the car and for the remainder of the drive to the warehouse. I can only imagine what is going through his head right now. We have never had company during any of our disposals.

The memory of me taking Sienna in that barren warehouse is making the blood rush to my length. I smirk, indulging myself in the memory of getting lost in her curves once more when I look over to her, noticing she suddenly seems frazzled.

“What is it, Sen?” I ask, rubbing her arm.

She stares at her phone, scrolling through what looks like numerous text messages.

“It’s Vanessa, she left me a voicemail and a whole bunch of texts asking if I’m with you,” she says, looking nervous.

“Fuck, we need to hurry,” I say, trying to reassure her. Vanessa has no idea about the warehouse. At least, I don’t think. So, we shouldn’t have to worry about her showing up there.”

“Guess we are going to have to wait to fuck again at the scene of the crime,” she jokes with playful eyes.

Ha, my little minx. Great minds think alike.

“Technically, it’s where we are hiding said crime,” I tease.

We exchange a smile that is worth more than any words could possibly convey. Her presence brings a calm to the chaos that has embedded itself in my life. Though, somehow, with our hands interlocked as they are, all I can see is the finish line. The quick approach to exiting this life that has held us captive, dictating who we should be and with whom we need to be with..

As Alex turns down the long stretch of bumpy road that leads to the warehouse, he looks in the rearview mirror to grab hold of my attention.

“Carmine, doing this quick would be in your best interest. Vanessa has been blowing up my phone this whole drive, until I lost service,” he warns.

Fuck, this woman is relentless.

Chapter52

Sienna

“Alright, I can take over,” Carmine suggests as we finish lugging both Eric and Lizzie’s bodies to the front of the warehouse, so they can be disposed of properly in the incinerator.

“No, this is my mess just as much as it is yours. I want to help,” I say, as I grab the hair tie from my wrist and begin putting my hair into a ponytail. I always wear my hair down, except when I am exercising and cleaning. But now, I guess I can add disposing of bodies to that list.

Carmine clears his throat. “Sienna, please.”

“Stop it, I can handle it,” I say with a confidence that surprises even myself.

I’m so sick of the men in my life treating me like some delicate flower. If I was capable enough to aid in killing them, then I’m more than capable enough to aid in their disposal.

I know this isn’t his first kill. God knows how many he has sent to the incinerator, so it doesn’t surprise me that he assumes I will sit this one out. He may be used to working alone, but now, we will work in all regards as a team.

He hesitates. “Yes, but—”
