“Looks like we have a wedding to get to,” he roughed out.

Aria pulled back, eyes shining. “This is the most important day ever.”

Dimitros huffed a laugh. “Sure is.”

I looked between them—my family, ourfamily—and felt happiness and love spread through me.

“Yes,” I said softly. “It is.”

FORTY-NINE

LYKOS

The priest, the ceremony, everything was a blur, but the most beautiful woman stood before me with love in her eyes.

She bound herself to me with simple words. “I, Violet Freud, take you, Lykos Costello, to be my husband. To love and to hold. Until my dying breath.”

We had a simple dinner waiting for us in our dining room that had been transformed with sheer fabric, white candles, and tiny lights, reflecting a soft glow off the walls and crystal chandelier. All compliments of Salvatore’s passionate night with an exclusive caterer in the next town. I honestly didn’t want to know the details.

Fresh flowers decorated every corner of the room and soft music drifted through the air. My wife sparkled, just like the diamonds on her finger.

“Should we toast?” Aria asked while I kept my gaze on my wife. God, I’d never tire of saying that:my wife.

“Sure, and then I have an announcement for everyone,” I announced.

“What is it?” Aria asked, her toast completely forgotten.

Violet smiled. “Don’t keep us in suspense, husband.”

Shit, I loved that even more.

I sat her on my lap, tucking my chin on her shoulder. “I bought a new property and want everyone’s input on the house we’ll build for us.”

“Is it far?” Aria asked.

“Not technically. It’s next door to where we used to live. About two miles, but this new property will give us more acreage, more seclusion, and a new beginning. Then maybe once our children get married, one of them—or both—will be close to us. What do you think, wife?”

Violet beamed. “I love that idea, although I hope marriage for both our children is far, far into the future.”

“But not too far,” Aria added.

Her sparkling gaze met mine before she rolled her eyes. It would seem my wife’s expert diagnosis was that Aria and I tend to get too obsessed about those we love.

I had no idea how she got to that conclusion.

Violet

Night had finally fallen when we retired to our bedroom.

“I thought the kids would never go to bed,” Lykos rasped, locking the door behind him.

I met his gaze and batted my eyelashes seductively as I slid my dress off, then unclasped my bra, leaving me in white lace panties.

“Why, husband? After all, itistime to go to sleep.”

The corners of his lips hitched.

“We both know sleeping is the last thing on your mind. Or mine.” He let the words hang in the air for a solid three secondsbefore he issued a demand. “Get in front of the mirror and kneel. I’m going to fuck my wife’s mouth.”
