You don’t have to tell him because you’re never going to that website again—not ever again!

Patrick squeezed his eyes shut and clutched the pillow, trying desperately to ignore the throbbing erection in his shorts.

. . .

“Motherfucker!”Derek started to wing his phone across the room and clamped down at the last second, preventing the device from flying out of his hand and smashing into the wall.

Lucas and Garrett stepped cautiously into the bedroom doorway. “You okay, buddy?”

“Those fuckingfucks.”Derek clutched his phone. “They might as well be holding himprisoner.”

“You mean Patrick?” Garrett ventured closer.

“Who the fuck else?” Derek snapped and thrust his phone at Garrett. “Thistime, it was his fuckingdadwho said I had the wrong number. Fuckingliars.”

“Easy there, baby,” Lucas murmured. “Don’t blow a gasket.”

Derek took a couple of deep breaths to calm his rage. It didn’t help. “It’s one thing if Patrick is trying to avoid me—that’s his right. But these other fuckers making that choice for him—it’sbullshit.”

“I agree,” Garrett said.

Lucas nodded. “Total bullshit.”

“They’re gonna totally fuck up his life. Isawthe way he looked at me—he is not down for this lifetime of celibacy bullshit. And even if he was, it should behischoice—not those assholes forcing him into it.”

“I saw the way he looked at you, too,” Lucas said. “And that boy wants tofuckyou.”

Lucas’ words sent sparks of electricity through Derek’s loins. “Maybe, maybe not. That’s for him to decide—notthem. It’s like we’re living in the fucking dark ages with these people.”

Lying on the bed, Lucas tucked his arms under his head and crossed his ankles. “When you looked up the number, was there an address with it? You could just ride on in there and rescue him.” He smiled.

Garrett shook his head. “It isn’t that easy.”

“Why not? Patrick’s an adult. If he wants to go with Derek, he fucking well can. They can’t hold him against his will.”

“As much as I want to,” Derek mumbled, “I can’t just barge in there. I don’t know what Patrick wants. But I do know they’re not telling him about my calls.”

“They’re not telling him because they’re afraid he’ll ride off into the sunset on your glorious cock.”

Garrett cast Lucas a dry look and shook his head.

“I wish I could run into him in public again,” Derek said. “Like at Pride. Someplace open, whereBrianor his parents can’t keep us from talking.”

“I may know a place.”

Derek turned around. Gideon stood in the doorway.

“What place?” Garrett asked.

Gideon entered and handed Derek a piece of paper. “Patrick’s church is hosting a fundraiser to raise money for a youth shelter. Very open and public.”

Derek looked at the paper that contained the date, time, location, and information about the shelter project. “Where did you get this?” He looked at Gideon.

“Did some research of my own.” The older man smiled. “Looked up some affirming churches, made a few calls.”

Lucas propped up on his elbows. “That’s what you were doing in your study all this time?”

“Yeah.” Gideon chuckled. “What did you think I was doing?”
