On the way back down to Sonston’s End, I look over at Ella. “We all decided on one rule.”
“What’s that?” She rolls her eyes, but I know she will take it seriously.
“You and Caroline do not go anywhere alone….” I trail, looking over at her as she nods her head.
“Makes sense.”
“And I would feel better if you guys took Remy along.”
“I think her and Ace have bigger things to worry about.” I bite my lip, trying not to laugh because she’s fucking right. “She’s so pissed.” She laughs out loud, breaking my composure.
“So pissed.” I laugh, agreeing with her.
“I mean rightfully so, but…” she trails, smiling over at me again.
