“Dom, it’s cool. We’re good.” He looks at me, concerned again, and I laugh. “If you want, feel free to stop by mom’s tomorrow. I’m going to get her to bed.” I tell him and he nods his head before winking, causing me to just shake my head back in his direction.

“El, are you going to be able to ride on the back?” I ask her as I move her out of the front doors of the club and towards the bike.

“Axe, I’ve ridden on the back of a bike a million times. It’s like, well…” she lets out a soft giggle, “riding a bike.” Handing her my helmet as I fish out the old beat up one out of the saddlebag, she sighs. “I can wear that one.” She reaches for the small bucket helmet that I’m pulling out.

“No way, if anything was to happen we aren’t scratching up this perfect face.” Running my knuckles along her jaw. Her entire face flushes before she shoves her head into the helmet and I reach over, helping her buckle the strap underneath, tightening it.

Moving behind me, I hear her accidentally kick the side of the bike before she nearly falls onto it. “On second thought.” I mumble, reaching over and lifting her up, moving her in front of me, wrapping her legs around me, and straddling my lap.

I know that this is a bad fucking idea, but it’s the only way that I know she won’t fall off. Instantly, she leans back against the tank.

After pulling out of the parking lot I can feel her eyes on me, glancing down only confirms what I already know. Once I see her eyes looking up at me, I can’t help but smirk as her hand comes up, pulling down the tinted visor, and I continue to drive us towards the house.

Pulling up in the driveway, I roll to a stop before I kick down the stand and lean the bike onto it. Ella leans up and I have to focus my thoughts off of her, straddling my lap, as she unintentionally grinds herself against my dick, and looking over to the house. “Axe, where are we?” she whispers out as she pulls off the helmet and looks at me.

“It’s my mom’s house.” I tell her, glancing over and seeing her eyes widen. I laugh out slightly. “It’s alright, she’s out of town this week. I told her I’d stop by and check on things, anyway. Come on.” I motion her towards the front door. I punch in the code and the door opens.

“Axe,” she whispers out as she walks to the back of the living room and I punch in the security code. “This place is gorgeous. Youchoseto live at the clubhouse when you grew up here?” She laughs again, pausing looking back at me. “Wait, you’re like loaded?”

“I didn’t grow up here.” I laugh out as I walk up to where she stands looking out the back floor to ceiling windows that look out over the private beach. “And I didn’t grow up rich. My mom bought this place after my dad died. We moved in 6 months before I left for boot camp.” I tell her as I grab 2 bottles of water out of the fridge.

“Why?” she asks me and I shrug, turning back around to see her looking right at me.

“I don’t know. I think there were just too many memories in the old house.”

“That didn’t make you sad?”

“I mean, sure. But I understood it. My parents had a good marriage.” I shrug, thinking back and smirking. “That shit that doesn’t seem real.” I tell her, opening the bottle of water and then handing it over to her. She hesitates. Lowering my voice before I finish my story, “Drink it.” I demand her. Causing her eyes to widen before she puts the bottle to her lips, sipping from it. “Movie quality. When he died. I think a piece of her died with him. She was miserable in the house because all she could see was the life that was taken away from her. I’m not sure if she will ever be happy like that again. She spends a lot of time now going to visit my sister in Seattle. She has 2 kids.” Ella then nods her head.

“How did he die?”

“Heart attack.” I shrug again. I know what she’s going to ask before she does, “43.” I nod to her as her eyes widen.

“Fuck,” she mumbles.

“Come on, I’ll get you something to change into.” I tell her as I nod to the stairs and then she follows me up. Stepping into my old bedroom, I rummage through the clothes that I keep here and hand her a t-shirt and a pair of sweats.

“Thank you.” She whispers.

“No problem.” I smile at her as I nod my head again, telling her to follow me down the hall. “My sister usually stays in here when she visits, so there should be some girly shit in there. I’m damn near positive that the sheets on the bed are clean. If you want me to get you some different ones I can, but knowing mom, they’re clean.” Opening the door, she steps into the guest room. I’m almost sad that she’s going back in there because I want nothing more than to have her falling asleep in my arms again, to protect her from the monsters that live just below the surface in her mind, but whatever is going on with her… I know it’s some tough shit and I don’t want to overstep.

“I’m sure they’re fine. Thank you, Axe. Really. Thank you.” I nod to her as I close the door. Moving back down the hallways to my bedroom.
