Just looking around my room, it still fucking reminds me of her.

The banding behind me on the door almost causes me to jump. Spinning around, I open in to see Ash standing on the other side. He doesn’t say anything, just looks to the piece of paper in his hands before he holds it out to me. “We found her.” Looking up to him I’m not sure what to do with it. Reaching out I grab the paper and look at it. “We all agreed, it’s your call.”

“Oz?”

He slowly shakes his head. “Caroline was right. When someone goes after her it has to be a damn good reason.” He pauses again, “And Oz knows if he goes after her she won’t be happy when she gets back.”

I should try to call her. Pulling out my phone and reaching over, plugging it into the charger. Then reaching down and taking off my leg.

My phone buzzes after I lay back and glancing over. All I can see is the black screen. Obviously, it got damaged while it was in storage. “Shit.” I guess so much for calling her. It’s probably for the best, anyway. Thinking back to what Ash said about Oz going to get her. No, she has to make that decision for herself.

I’ll deal with getting a new phone later. I unplug it from the charger and toss it across the room. Shattering it against the wall. The knock on the door brings me out of my daze as I lean up and instead of taking the time to put my leg on, I just use the dresser next to the door to move myself to it.

“What?”

“You’re back man.” Blaze nods to me, causing me to nod back, no emotion. “I heard something just coming to check on you.”

“Yeah, my phone’s done. Something happened. Gotta go get a new one today.”

I see a slow smirk spread on his face as he looks at me again. “Ask you a question?” But he doesn’t wait for me to respond. He starts anyway. “How was it, man?”

“What, prison?” He laughs as he looks around himself.

“No, you know what I mean. I mean, I didn’t realize when it was happening, but I heard her that day… how was El—” he doesn’t even finish getting her name out of his mouth before I have him pinned against the wall.

“You may be my brother, but you ever fucking talk about her like that again or even so much as think it. I’ll rip your fucking eyeballs out of your head.” His eyes widen as he steps away from me quickly, raising his hands, and moves down the hall.
