“Jag.” Axe calls out through the phone.
“Daddy?”
“Yeah bug, what’s going on? Where is Sadie?”
“I don’t know where she is. She told us that it was going to get loud and to wait for it to be quiet again before I called you. It’s finally quiet again.” Axe’s eyes widen as he looks at me and I nod my head.
“Okay we’ll be there shortly. Are you two safe?” I ask him.
“I think so. She hid us and told us to make sure to be quiet.”
“Okay, do not move until we get there, okay” He mumbles out an okay before we end the call. And to think that I had made the space specifically for Sadie and Linc to hide if something like this happened… only there’s not enough room for the three of them.
Axe and I both rush over to the bikes before we hop on and peel out of the parking lot, shortly followed by the rest of the guys.
Through the Bluetooth helmet, I call out for my phone to call the clubhouse and I can hear it start ringing. I need Skyy to go and make sure the boys are safe. To make them feel comfortable, but the phone just continues to ring.
No one is answering.Fuck.
I call back for a second time, but the phone line just continues to ring. All I can imagine is Skyy dead with a fucking bullet between her eyes in the kitchen as she gets dinner ready for my brothers.
Axe and I both have the throttle nearly pegged out as we drive through the desert heading the hour back to my house.
But just as when there’s any other emergency, we seem to make it in half the time.
But the slowest thirty goddamn minutes of my life.
Sliding to a stop outside of the house, I move through the door and immediately head up the stairs. I can hear the rest of the bikes pulling in as I’m halfway up the staircase. Axe is right on my heels. I run into the closet and pull back the panel on the wall. Seeing the boys gives me some sort of relief.
“Boys.” I sigh out as I hug both of them. Letting Jag go after so he can run for his dad to keep him safe. “Linc.” I look down at him as he cries, and I pick him up. His arms latch tightly around my neck as I hug him so tightly, I’m almost worried that I’ll actually hurt him.
I’m torn. I feel the relief that he’s safe; however, knowing that Sadie is still out there somewhere with the men who took her keeps me on edge.
But I know this is where she would want me to be as well.
And I will fucking get to her.
If I have to burn every single one of those motherfuckers to the ground, I will.
Chapter Thirty- Three
SADIE
“Miss.” The kind voice says next to me. “Are you okay? I can’t believe you are out here walking around.” She tries to usher me over to the side of the road and to sit me down.
“Huh?” I have no idea what she’s talking about.
“You were just in an accident. The car flipped. I watched you crawl out the window.”
“I did what?” I ask her, not really being able to focus on her.
“You crawled out of the car. Are you okay? I called the cops, but they’re going to be a few more minutes. I can go ahead and take you to the hospital.”
“I’m fine.”
“Sweetie, you’re not—”
“Sadie!” I hear the urgent voice as it approaches, and a new set of hands grab my arms. “What happened to you?” The voice asks me.
