Chapter 16

Levi

WasIangry?Ofcourse I fucking was. But not at the fact that I had to come in and find Evie pleasuring herself in one of the cages before her shift. I was mad because, for some fucked up reason that I couldn’t even begin to explain, I wanted that hand and those fingers to be mine, instead of hers.

It wasn't even a want; it was a goddamnneed.

Watching Evie pleasure herself made me want to do nothing more than throw her over my shoulder like a fucking caveman and haul her ass into one of the private rooms to give her what she needed. Show her exactly how I felt—just how fucking badly my desire for her had grown over these short few days.

I was a man turned feral animal. All because of her.

I had spent all of Thursday and Friday avoiding any form of interaction with Evie, still wound up from her audition—feeling her hands pressing into my thighs and wishing that she’d grabbedmy cock in the process; wrapped that pouty mouth of hers around it and let me feel the back of her throat squeezing tightly as she swallowed down every inch of me.

She wasn’t off limits, but my god did she feel like the fucking forbidden fruit of Eden. One part of me was trying its hardest to be cautious around her, unsure if this woman would live up to the expectations I had set for a bride, or if I was carelessly throwing all of my eggs into one beautifully decorated basket on a whim. While the other was a savage beast, clawing at my foundation, threatening to break through its chains, and all for a single savored taste of her.

I had to take things slow. I had no fucking choice in the matter.

“I-I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came—”

“Stop. Just—” Gritting my teeth with annoyance targeted more so at myself, I extended a hand to grab hers, before quickly balling it into a tight fist and retracting the offer, stumbling over my words, my thoughts anywhere but fucking here. “Just… get out of this cage and finish getting ready for your shift.”

With a reluctant sigh, I dragged the same shaky hand through my hair, stepping down and leaving her before I did something impulsive and incredibly stupid—my sexual needs battering and abusing me from the inside out, giving me fucking blue balls.

I threw the door to my office open, kicking the empty trash can across the floor as I charged past it to my desk, slamming my fists down hard enough to rattle all the shit sitting on top.

“Who pissed in your Cheerios this evening?”Lucas…

“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be in… fucking—I don’t know, in Nashville by now?” With my jaw clenched tighter than avice, I turned my head to find my brother lounging on the sofa as if he’d been napping there for hours. One leg propped up on the backrest, the other dangling off the edge to the floor, and his arms sandwiched between the pillow and his head.

“Yeah, about that… I’m going to need you to switch out with me.” He casually announced.

“Why?” I snapped, unable to control my temper for much longer.

“I’m just not feeling it this tour.” Lucas shrugged, and I backed my ass up against the edge of the desk before crossing my arms over my chest like a parent about to scold their child for stealing or some other dumb shit.

“Not feeling it? What the fuck is there to feel? You want to say someone pissed in my Cheerios, who assaulted yours?”

Lucas groaned, running his hands up and down his face as he repositioned himself to sit, hunching forward with the heel of his palms digging into his knees.

Silence fell between us as my brother pursed his lips, eyes focused hard on the floor in deep concentration, figuring out what kind of fucking reason to give that would convince me to agree to the trade-off and leave my prey to him. Evie.

“I met someone…”Oh? Not the response I was anticipating coming from him.

“And that’s your excuse? Let me guess, you need me to cover your ass so you can run off into the sunset with her—down a sandy beach perhaps? Whatever happened to bringing the perfect woman back here all tied up with a bow?” I sarcastically mocked, rolling my eyes and dropping my hands to lean further back, pressing them onto the edge of the desk.

“I would have, had she not gone missing shortly after fucking finding her,” Lucas grumbled, annoyed at his dilemma—a problem that was nowours.

I suppose, in light of what he was saying, there wouldn’t be a fight between his choice of woman and mine. But what kind of brother would I be if I didn’t sympathize with him over the unfortunate news?I felt his disappointment…

“Missing?” My expression softened at the word, genuinely concerned and curious for more information. How would he even know if a woman he met in a different state went missing?

“Yeah…” His head hung low as he raised his hands to cup the back of his neck, still staring at the floor as if it would swallow him whole if he stopped.

“Who?”

“Tessa… Bradley.”Bullshit.

“The fucking actress?” I choked on a laugh.
