Five years ago, if he’d have told me he had a kid, I’d have shot him twice to save the kid the burden of knowing him, but now I had Ellis, and I couldn’t imagine the pain she’d be in if she lost one of us.

“If I let you go, you will come to me with any information you have,” I said in a low voice. “On anything. On everything. I want to know if any of the big guys in this city take a shit. You got it?”

He nodded, his eyes wide. “I will. Anything you need.”

“Well, you’ll need to take a beating to remind you of what happens when you fail me,” I said.

He cried softly, but he nodded.

I rose to my feet and struck him hard across the face before Levin joined in on his beating.

When we were done, we loaded his unconscious ass into the trunk before dropping him back off in a side alley inside old Ivanov territory.

He looked like he was coming to, so I expected I’d be hearing from him soon.

“Anyone ever tell you that you’ve gotten soft?” Levin asked as we got back into my car.

“No.”

“Well, old man, you’re soft as shit,” Levin said as we settled in.

I smirked at him as I started the engine.

“No, son, I’ve just learned that to catch flies, sometimes you have to use shit, and Kyle is shit.”

Levin huffed out a laugh as we drove off.

I really did enjoy bonding with him.

Ewent to check on Riot when we got home, and I poured us some drinks in my home office and waited for him to return. Cole had spent all his free time out looking for Rosalie, so he wasn’t home tonight. And when he was frustrated with not finding her, he spent a lot of time at the old house.

I assumed he was there now, lying in her bed again. We always just left him to it when he got in those funks. I’d pinged him on the map hours ago, headed in that direction.

For now, I’d let him be, but eventually, he needed to face the fact that she may not be coming back.

And that really fucking gutted me to think, but given the dead ends I’d encountered, that Dom encountered, that Anson was apparently encountering, I’d say she might be gone for good.

It made me so sick to think. She had a stalker, and if this guy was as crazy as he seemed, then it was unlikely she was even still alive. And if she was…

Fuck.

That thought alone had me sending out twenty more men tonight and taking to the streets myself. I’d even put out a reward for her through our channels.

Five million if she were brought to me alive, and I’d double it if the prick who had her came with her alive. Three million for any tip that led to her.

I figured that would motivate some of these assholes.

And it really seemed to. Loads of tips came in, but nothing that led anywhere.

E came into the room as I settled in my chair in front of the fireplace, a drink in my hand.

“You drink too much,” he commented, coming to sit on the couch and taking the drink I poured him.

“You think too much, Doc,” I said.
