I frowned. All Cole wanted was for all of us to get back together.

“Because fifteen fucking minutes ago, you were telling me you didn’t want her, and you were done. You and fucking Enzo. So, I’ll ask again. Why the fuck are you kissing my girl?”

I swallowed hard and stared at Rosalie.

“I, uh…” I stammered.

“Are you joining?” Cole demanded.

I looked at Rosalie.

“I… no, man. I’m not.” My shoulders sagged forward.

The tears in Rosalie’s eyes trickled down her face. Fuck, I didn’t want to make her cry.

“Baby, go see Anson. Ellis is up and looking for you,” Cole murmured to her.

She stared at me and lifted her hand as if she were going to reach for me, but I gave a slight shake of my head and took a step back.

Her bottom lip wobbled before she rushed from the room, leaving me alone with Cole.

His hands met my chest hard as he shoved me. I stumbled back. The last thing I wanted to do was fight him, so I didn’t even try to defend myself.

“Don’t ever put your fucking lips on my girl,” he snarled at me. “Do you fucking hear me?”

“What is your issue?” I said as he backed me against the wall. “She was our girl?—”

“Was. Fucking past tense. That ship sailed. You told me no. Then I find you in here, leading her on to what? Break her heart? Who the fuck even are you right now, Ethan? Huh? Because the guy I knew wouldn’t be leading her on like this. If there’s nothing, then let there be nothing. She just kissed a man who does not want her and isn’t part of her dynamic. That could fuck up everything because what do we call that?”

I swallowed.

“Cheating,” I whispered.

“Right, motherfucker. Don’t do that shit. You said no. That meansaccess fucking denied. Got it?” He shoved me again.

“Stop fucking pushing me, Cole,” I said in a soft, dangerous voice.

“Stop putting your tongue in my girl’s mouth, dick,” he snapped back.

“I’m sorry,” I said. “I am. I had a moment of weakness. It won’t happen again.”

“If it does, it’s because you’re coming home with me,” he said, his voice shaking. “Do you understand?”

“Yes.”

He continued to glare at me before he backed away.

“You need to tell her about Laz. Clear the air,” he said.

“Right,” I replied tightly. “There’s a lot of air that needs to be cleared.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”

“Ask Evan,” I said softly. “Ask him about the day I saw him at Fox’s grave, and then ask him what he and I talked about.”

Cole frowned. “Is he why you don’t want to go visit Foxy?”

“Yeah, man. He is. Ask him. And don’t join them until he tells you.”
