Cole blew out some smoke and chuckled. “Bottoms up.”
I took a deep drag, inhaling it deep into my lungs before coughing it out.
Cole laughed softly. “Take another hit. It’ll be smooth. E doesn’t fuck around with his creations. I promise you’ll just feel like you’re floating on a cloud.”
I did as he instructed, then coughed again and handed it back to him. He finished off the stick before stubbing out the remainder and lying back against the pillows.
“I feel… weird,” I murmured.
“It’s the high. See? It’s not so bad,” he said. “Relax next to me. Let’s talk.”
I settled back, my body feeling warm with a small surge of pleasure.
“Tell me about being married,” he said.
“Uh, I like it,” I said, letting out a soft breath.
“Always someone to fuck, huh?”
“Mm,” I murmured. “Yes.”
The high was really hitting me now. The pleasure. God. It felt so good.
Cole went up on his elbow and stared at me.
“Cole?” I whispered.
“Yeah?”
“I feel funny.”
“Me too.”
“A-Are you sure that was for pain?”
“Do you hurt?”
I shook my head. “No. Not anymore.”
“Then it’s working.” He groaned softly. “Fuck.”
The way he sounded sent a surge of desire straight between my legs like lightning.
I arched my back off the bed a little as another wave of pleasure rolled through me. It was like my entire body was beingtickled inside. It felt really good. Relaxing. Like the beginning of an orgasm.
“Oh, fuck, Rosalie, don’t fucking do that,” Cole groaned.
“Mm, I feel good,” I whispered.
“Fuck, me too.”
I wiggled in my spot, desperate for more. My head didn’t feel like me, but I didn’t hate it. It was like a nice vacation from all my troubled thoughts.
“Tell me more about life,” Cole said, almost breathless.
“I miss you,” I blurted out. “All the time.”
“Fuck, Rosebud, I miss you too.” He leaned into me as I turned at my waist for him. He rested his forehead against mine.
