She squeezes her watering eyes shut, and she shakes her head slowly.

“It was all really overwhelming at first. I’m sure it’s overwhelming for you, too. But what I saw—” I hesitate, but only for a second. I don’t know if anyone told her, but she should know. She has a right to. “I saw you. In my dreams. You were with Silas. I wish I understood what I was seeing earlier, I could have helped sooner. I am so sorry for that. But if you saw something too, if you’re like me—”

Ghost called me a Seeker. Maybe she’s a Seeker too.

But my visions were in the present. And Andrea is standing right beside us.

“She was really pretty,” Lily starts, voice cracking. “This woman. She just looked really happy. She was pregnant. There was a man there. Two, maybe. Her mates, I think. But… Andrea, you were there too. You were rubbing her feet. You had this look on your face, like you were annoyed with something.”

Lily blinks, then says, “Yeah, that look.” She points to Andrea, who does, in fact, look annoyed. Lily chuckles awkwardly. I squeeze her hand, encouraging her to keep going.

“I don’t know what I saw. I don’t know if it’s real. But I could… Andrea, I could have sworn you were fated mates, the two of you. The other guys, they were her mates too, but you two… she looked at you like you were the moon. Andrea, I think that woman is your mate.”

Chills run down my arms.

Lily clears her throat. “She… she had short, curly black hair, dark skin. She had this big smile. She smelled like strawberries.”

Holy shit.

Lily isn’t a Seeker.

She’s a Mate Finder.

Chapter 22: Mona

Was this what I was like after finding out about my mates?

You were worse.

Thanks, Beep,I think back.

After sputtering frantically, Lily scrambles out of bed, but nearly collapses. I catch her, trying to calm her down, just as Andrea tears out of the room. I help Lily back into bed, but she cries, “Go after her!”

On my way down the hall, I yell to Doc, “Check on Lily! Tell her we’re fine! Don’t worry! Everything is okay! But maybe check on Lily!”

You’re a mess,Beep says, as I nearly trip over a chair, flying after Andrea, who storms out the door.

Silas is right behind, shouting after us. I try to wave at him that everything is fine, but honestly, Beep’s right, this is a mess.

“What the fuck happened?” Silas demands.

“Umm,” I frantically wring my wrists. Andrea starts toward the woods, but rather than disappear through the trees, shebegins pacing. Silas keeps demanding I tell him what happened. Apparently, he and Doc were giving us privacy and weren’t listening in.

“Well, you see,” I start, though I know I look ridiculous because I’m still chasing Andrea, even though she’s pacing. Back and forth in front of the woods she marches, and I follow.

“Mona, tell me what happened,” Silas growls. Finally, I stop in place.

And the panic sets in. I have to find her. I have to find that woman. “Did we get a name?!” I shout. This makes Andrea pause. Her eyes widen, and she goes to run back inside, but I tell Silas to stop her.

“Wait! Lily would have said. She’d have said if there was a name.”

“I need to ask.”

I turn to Silas. “Can you please go inside and ask Lily if she got a name?”

“Whose name? What are you talking about? What the fuck is going on?”
