“So lovely.” He spreads the lips of my pussy and leans down again. “So pink.”

The finger he uses along my folds must be covered in his come because my hips buck so hard I bonk him in the nose. He recovers before I can grow too concerned, rubbing the bridge of his nose and smiling wide.

He slowly inserts one finger, watching my every twitch and breath.

It’s not enough. I’m teetering on the edge here and just want him to shove me off.

“M-more.”

“You feel incredible,” he says, voice husky and eyes glazed as they remain locked on me. “Youareincredible.”

My orgasm rips through me suddenly, violently. I don’t scream. The sound gets lodged in my throat, and I don’t even breathe as my body rocks in an endless shudder. It feels like I’m floating, and the only proof I’m not is Zivren’s heavy body pressing me into the mattress as he lays on top of me offering long, tender kisses.

I feel his lips charting their course across my chin, cheeks, eyelids, and then over my hair as his many strong arms wrap around me. As I start to come down, I expect the tremors still tearing through my body to stop, but they don’t.

He must notice this too because he kisses my forehead and releases me. “That won’t cease until you take the neutralizer.”

Before I can summon the composure to ask what the hell that is, he returns with a brown vial. “Open your mouth. I’m going to place a drop on your tongue.”

I do as he says, and as soon as I swallow that single drop, my muscles unclench and the quaking stops. Then he takes a damp washcloth and tenderly removes his come from my skin.

When he settles in next to me, I rest my head on his shoulder as I let out a deep, full-body yawn. “Explain something. How did you know just how magical your come was without any sexual experience?”

“Mm.”

This is a smiling, contented grunt. Officially my favorite of all his grunts.

“I may not have had sexual intercourse, or had a female put their mouth on me before, but I have used my seed––myoonya,” he clarifies––“to give others pleasure. That is the extent of my experience, however.” His eyes widen. “It was nothing like that before. The way your body reacted was different.”

“Different?” A knot forms in the pit of my stomach as we wade deeper into the previous-partner discussion. I know I drove us here, but suddenly I find myself growing possessive over this man and worried his past partners were better in bed.

His teal eyes lock onto mine, and his voice softens. “Remarkable.”

I melt at the word, and it doesn’t take long for sleep to take me away.

The next morning, we wake up in bed together, limbs tangled and wearing smiles we can’t seem to break.

“We should speak to Akkal, right?” I ask, pulling my T-shirt back over my head. I’m not itching to have this talk, but it feels like we need to, if only to let him know this isn’t typical nanny/vatra behavior. “If, you know, we’re going to be”––fuck, how do I describe this without overreaching or diminishing it?––“increasing our intimacy in front of him. As in, not just out of the house when the orange idiots are watching.”

Zivren nods as he pulls on his shorts, his expression once again unreadable. Worry pulls at my insides. Did I insult him? Make too much of what happened between us? I wish I could read his mind right about now.

“Yes,” he finally says. “We should.”

The silence lingering between us gnaws at me, so I do what I always do and fill it. “Only if you think it’s a good idea, of course. I don’t want to overstep, but if he were to walk in on us kissing…”

He holds up a hand. “I agree, June. It must be addressed.”

But how are we planning on addressing it?I want to ask. The words almost come out too, but Zivren marches out of the room, and I scramble to throw on underwear and pants so I don’t miss anything.

Akkal is rocking in his chair as he watches an animated show on the projector. His hair is mussed from sleep, and there are indents from his pillow etched into his cheek. He opens his front arms wide as Ziv approaches, and he’s hauled into his father’s embrace.

When Ziv puts him down, he drops a hand to Akkal’s shoulder. “We must talk, okay?”

Akkal nods as he hops onto the couch next to his father.

I lean on the arm of the couch, close enough to jump in but providing enough distance for Ziv to take the lead in this conversation.

“June and I are different now, Akkal. She is not just your nanny anymore.”
