He kissed me again, and I kissed him back. He pulled up my leggings, and neither of us felt the cold.
We didn’t go back inside for a while. “You came here to find out what you wanted,” he said.
“Yes.”
“And?”
I looked at the moons and at his face. I thought about Pip asleep inside, the bond inside my chest, and nodded. “I found it.”
His tail tightened around my waist.
We talked about the future tentatively. He had thoughts about the estate with a larger growing section and a proper workshop.Pip would need educational resources within the next few years with some specialist materials.
We kissed again, our hands moving across each other’s bodies. “I should make love to you properly,” he murmured. “Come inside with me?”
“Of course. Your room or mine?”
“Either works.”
He guided me into the house and headed for his room. “We have all night,” he said, pulling off his shirt as soon as his door clicked shut. His boots and pants followed until he stood there in all his glory. “Let me learn you,” he whispered.
“Seems that I am overdressed,” I murmured.
I sashayed to his bed, crawling backwards on it, until I could rest my head on his pillows. I parted my legs, and he stalked over, before leaning so his breath hitched over my exposed core. “Is this the nerve bundle?” His tongue darted out to lick my clit, and I almost jolted out of bed.
“It is. That’s my clit.” My fingers fisted into his sheets. “Do it again,” I begged.
He listened, and flattened his tongue against more core, licking in circles. My back arched off the bed and my legs clamped around his head. “Andrek,” I gasped.
He licked me through my orgasm and loomed over me, his wings extended to their full length. His tail curved up, teasing my nipples. My hands reached out for him. “Fill me.”
In a single motion, he slipped inside me, one ridged level at a time. He flapped his wings, helping to pound deep inside me. His hands and tail were everywhere, and my body blazed with sensation. Andrek took care with me; he was no longer distant; no longer holding anything back.
Somewhere in the gray before dawn, I lay with my head against his chest. Andrek’s arms wrapped around me with hiswings settled behind him. I listened to his heartbeat, slower than a human’s and different in rhythm.
“Are you awake?” he asked into the dark above my head.
“Yes.”
“What are you thinking about?”
“That I’m going to hear your heartbeat for a long time,” I said. “And that past me would be scared, but now the thought doesn’t scare me.”
A pause. His arms tightened around me.
“No?” he said.
“No.” I tilted my head up. I could see his face in the dark, the gold of his eyes open and watching the ceiling. “Are you scared?”
“Of us? No. Of loving you? No. Of losing you? It terrifies me.”
“Me too,” I said. “But I think that’s what it costs. To let yourself have something.”
“Yes,” he said. “I think you’re right.”
We lay there as the dark became less dark, as the first light found the edges of the windows and laid itself across the floor in pale lines.
“Andrek,” I said.
