“Hey, guys,” Grayson says happily.
“Hey, sweetie,” a woman says as she hugs Grayson.
“Son, you’re looking good,” a man says proudly, hugging Grayson next. They both hug Adam the same before the woman smiles at me.
“Ma, this is Milly,” Grayson says, sitting next to me. They take a seat across from us and look happy. “I… finally entered the marriage pact and was paired with her.”
“Oh, that’s wonderful,” his mom says.
“Milly, this is my mother, Susan, and my father, Henry,” Grayson says. “Guys, this is Milly’s biological father, Thomas.”
“I know Thomas,” Henry says with a smile. “How ya been, Tom?”
“Good. Glad I finally got my girl back,” Dad says.
“Milly was my patient,” Grayson admits. “I saw her three times a week.”
“Oh, well, at least you had lots of bonding time leading up. That trust probably helped,” Susan says.
“He’s being nice. I’m actually crazy,” I say with a smile.
“I doubt that,” Henry chuckles. “So are you three a happy little trio?”
“Yeah,” Grayson says simply.
“Do they know about…” I start to ask, but stop.
“Yeah, they know,” Grayson says.
“Oh, about you and Adam?” Susan asks. “I always knew his match would be open to them.”
“I think it’s great!” I say happily.
“Yeah, that’s because you’re a pervert,” Adam remarks. I grin at him, and he laughs. “Anyway, pizza should be here in a second.”
“Who hurt her?” Henry asks Dad.
“Greg Chesterton,” Dad grumbles. “He is her stepfather.”
“Oh God,” Henry says, rolling his eyes. “What happened?”
Dad looks at me, and I nod. “He has been raping her since they first got together. Charlotte would make videos and sell them. She entered the marriage pact without them knowing, and she ended up with Grayson. They must be tracking her because as soon as she left the house alone today, he ran her off the road. From what I’m gathering, he started raping her, but she fought back. Usually, she shuts down. That pissed him off, and he started hitting her. I showed up and scared him off, but she has a broken wrist and some bruised ribs.”
“Sadly, none of this surprises me,” Henry says.
“You should explain all of this to Alania and Adrian. They need to know he is out there doing all of this,” Susan says.
“Man, Adrian, Raul, Brently, and Derek will have a fucking field day with this one,” Henry says.
“Alania is bloodthirsty,” Adam laughs. “Don’t tell her I said that. She scares me.”
“I’m going to tell her now,” Grayson laughs. “I’ve been thinking about what to do. I know he is going to die, I just want to keep Milly safe.”
“I think the safest thing to do is to get The Society involved,” Henry says.
“I can see it in your eyes, sweetheart. I know you want revenge for her,” Susan says. “But sometimes the best thing to do is to delegate that out.”
“Yeah,” Grayson sighs.
