Gray Falcon nodded.

"This wouldna be my ol' friend, Strikes Fast, would it?"

"It is he, indeed," said Gray Falcon.

"What kinda trouble's the boy in?"

"A Cree war party," answered Eagle Heart.

"The Cree? They come through here couple months ago. Stole themselves some of my favorite horses. Wouldna mind gettin' my hands on them horses again…and them thieving Cree."

Silence fell over the room.

"Want another ta go with ya? That thar Strikes Fast is a friend of mine, too. We got ta know each other when we was a trailin' ya and yer misses, my daughter."

"I remember it well," answered Eagle Heart.

"I was mighty mad at ya fer a long time. But, that thar's over now. Owe my life ta ya now. That I do." McIntosh paused. "Yep, owe my life ta ya. Yep, owe ya boys my life and all I own. Mind if I come with ya?"

"Are you ready for a hard ride?" asked Gray Falcon.

"What does I look like ta ya? Like some youngin in rompers?"

All three men laughed. Even Molly managed a smile.

"You are welcome to come with us. We would both be honored to have you with us," said Eagle Heart.

"We leave at first light," added Gray Falcon.

"Well, then, I guess first light it is. I'll be saddled up and ready. Did ya boys say ya needed supplies?"

"Ammunition mostly," said Gray Falcon at once.

"Well, I's got lots of ammunition. Come here, boys, and let's take a look ta see what I got…."
