CHAPTER THIRTEEN
When he brought them both to their knees before one another and when he pulled her in close to him, Liliann thought she might explode from the lightning-like pleasure that shot through her. What passion, what yearning it was to experience her chest against his. And, as he reached behind her to pull her bottom in close to him, she gloried in the feel of his hard response, there against her stomach.
Even their thighs were touching, skin to skin, as he leaned down to take command over their kisses. And, when his lips closed over hers, parting them to explore the inner recess of her mouth and tongue, she felt her stomach drop, as though there were butterflies living there.
As she wiggled in closer to him, with her hips and stomach cushioning his loins, she heard him groan, the sound deep and low within his throat.
For a moment that seemed out of time with the rest of the world, he brought up his head and whispered against her lips, "Remember us this time always. Feel wind…of night…soft, warm. Above…stars shine down…while sight of you before me…beautiful. Remember how…black the night, scent of tree…and pine branches beneath robe. Hear sound…of your breathing and mine…keep rhythm together. Love you…I do. Yours…I am…for all life."
As he ran his hands through her hair, he nudged her gently down until she lay before him. And, though every sense within her protested that he should look upon her naked body, when she looked up at him, she espied only admiration within his eyes.
She whispered against his lips, "I be yours."
She heard his shaky indrawn breath as he brought her into position beneath him while he scooted down her body toward her breasts. Then, as he adored each of them in turn, he brought the touch of his fingers down lower to the center of her body, where he found the place from which her passion flowed.
And, as he stroked her there, she moved her hips in union to his touch. It wasn't long before he gave her what she was yearning for: the essence of his masculinity.
And, then they danced and danced, until, with passion and need exploding within her, she thrust her head back as she felt the culmination of their hot desire. The pleasure increased, becoming accentuated until, with the security of his arms around her, she felt him give his seed to her. Aware of it, she joined in with him in this moment.
As she lay within the comfort of his arms, a thought took hold of her: even now the possibility existed that a new life might be forming within her. The thought was all-consuming until he leaned his body down to cover hers, and she felt the rush of his breath, there at her neck.
They were so close; indeed, she could feel his essence touch her own. And, in this moment of oneness with him, she knew his thoughts as clearly as she knew her own. Truly, she knew who he was, just as he knew her.
It was a bonding between them even deeper than the physical, and perhaps, since it was the epitome of them both pledging themselves to one another, it was even more all-consuming and enlightening. Yes, indeed, she was his just as much as he was hers.

"Much do I love…coming to lodge, to you, after long council…with chiefs. Hard to think or…solve problems…when all I want is…you. Love you."
Liliann, who was sitting next to the circle of stones surrounding the lodge fire, rose up to her feet, and, seeing First Rider's arms beckoning her forward, she took a few steps toward the entrance flap and then practically fell into his arms, he catching her. At once, her arms came up to wind around his neck as she pulled his head down toward hers. His own embrace encircled her waist, and with a little pull, he brought her hips in close to him.
Ah, how I love this man!
Standing on her tiptoes, she reached up toward him and placed her lips against his. Then, leaning back a little and looking up into his dark eyes, she murmured, "And, me own self awaits thee, barely able to stand it when thou be gone from me so long."
As they gazed at one another, Liliann became aware that, although there was no doubt their intimacy was physical, it was spiritual, too. Indeed, their happiness and unity, strong and all-encompassing, seemed to envelope not only the two of them, but the atmosphere within their entire lodge. And, Liliann, for her part, could not remember a happier time in her life…ever.
First Rider leaned down toward her ear and whispered, "Chief Yellow Hawk's sits-beside-him-woman, White Necklace Woman…sick. He ask…I come. You come, too."
"Me?" she asked. "Why?"
First Rider barely hesitated to answer, and he said, "You have medicine."
"Medicine?"
"My people…get well…when you with them. This, I notice."
"They do?"
First Rider nodded. "Long have I seen…you have medicine. You even know medicine song."
"Medicine Song?"
"Song I sang when healing…father…of yours. Also, when got stick out of your…eye. You sang song then…too."
"Oh."
"How you know it?"
