“Huh?”

“Ms. Moretti,” she introduced. “She’s our newest partner, and everyone’s raving about her designs.”

“I know, Julia,” I replied. “She’s talented.” With that, I walked off to meet her.

“Amore mia,” I called, catching her off guard and interrupting whatever had been so amusing.

I needed to know what the joke was.

“Ronan!” Her eyes widened in surprise. “You’re…here.”

“I am,” I grinned, placing a hand on her arm. “Can we talk?”

“Excuse me,” she murmured to the man beside her before following me.

“Come with me,” I instructed, leading her upstairs to a secluded room.

“Why?”

“Just trust me,” I urged.

“And if I don’t?”

“I’ll throw you over my shoulder and carry you with me, baby.”

Her breath hitched. “You wouldn’t.”

“Try me,” I challenged. She paused, her gaze locked on minefor a few moments in silence, before agreeing to come with me.

We reached the upper floor and stepped into the first empty room I found, locking the door behind us.

“What did I tell you, tesoro?” I asked, my tone low.

She raised an eyebrow, confused. “What?” She sat down on one of the tables.

I moved toward her, kneeling before her and slowly shrugging off my jacket.

“I told you I didn’t want other men touching you.”

“Ronan,” she breathed, her voice catching in her throat. I moved closer, pulling the table toward me so her legs were inches from my mouth.

I slid a hand up her thigh, drawing a whimper from her lips. Damn, I’d forgotten how good she sounded.

“Tesoro, who is he?” I asked, my fingers skimming her thigh, carefully avoiding her most sensitive spot.

“Someone I met tonight,” she answered breathlessly, her gaze locking with mine. Her innocent brown eyes now burned with raw desire.

“Let’s get something straight,” I murmured, brushing my finger over her panties. “I don’t want another man touching you.”

“And if they do?” She countered.

I chuckled, disappearing under her dress, and pressed my index finger to her swollen clit.

She whimpered.

“Don’t taunt me, baby.”

“Why?”
