The song echoed my inner turmoil, the tug-of-war between holding on and letting go.

But, despite everything, I had never truly let him go.

Even when we were apart, a part of my heart remained tethered to him, unable to sever the connection.

Even when I told myself I hated him, I loved him to the end.

But if you never try, you’ll never know,

Just what you’re worth.

I opened my eyes and gazed at the picture again. We had been through so much, weathered so many storms. And now, against all odds, Ronan fought his way back into my life.

He had changed, softened in ways I never thought possible. His grand gestures and the way he looked at me with a renewed sense of devotion spoke of a man who had loved a woman so much he would do anything for her.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as the final lines of the song echoed in my mind.

Tears stream down your face,

When you lose something you cannot replace.

I wiped my tears, exhaling deeply. It wasn’t only about getting Ronan back… I had fallen for him all over again. The boy who once swept me off my feet had become a man who knew our worth and was willing to fight for it.

I traced a finger over his image in the photograph, my heart swelling with a mixture of hope and fear. Love was never easy, but as I sat there in the quiet of my room, I made a promise to myself. I would fight for us, as he had.

Because what we had was worth it.

We were worth it.

He was worth it.

“I love you, Ronan,” I whispered into the night. “And I’m ready to try again.”

My phone buzzed, jolting me from my reverie. Ronan’s name flashed on the screen. I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.

“Hey,” I said softly.

“Get dressed. I’m sending someone to get you,” he said, his voice full of excitement. “In an hour.”

“Where are we going?” I asked, curiosity piqued.

“It’s a surprise,” he replied, a smile evident in his tone.

I tucked the photograph away and hurried to my wardrobe. Despite it being spring, the Italian warmth called for a flowing white dress with lace trim and strappy sandals. I put my hair in a high bun, added a touch of makeup, and finished with a spritz of my favorite floral perfume.

Moments later, a black car pulled up in front of my house. I stepped outside, and the driver greeted me with a polite nod. “Ms. Moretti, Dr. Romano is expecting you,” he said, opening the door for me.

The drive was smooth, my heart pounding with anticipation. As I stepped out, Ronan stood waiting—his tailored black suit fitting perfectly, his unbuttoned shirt hinting at the toned chest beneath. Heat rushed through me.

Before I could speak, he closed the distance, capturing my lips in a passionate kiss. Warm, demanding, irresistible, and I melted into him. When we finally parted, he smiled down at me, eyes glinting with mischief.

“Ready for our adventure?” he asked, taking my hand.

We drove through the city, the anticipation building with every passing moment. When we pulled up in front of a building, I saw the large Prada sign glowing in the daytime.

I turned to Ronan, confusion etched on my face. “Why are we here?”

He grinned, a boyish excitement lighting up his features. “We’re going on a private tour of the Prada fashion house.”
