The second I turned the screen toward her, all the color damn near drained out her face.

“This is fake,” she replied, quick as hell. “That shit AI.”

“AI?” I shook my head slowly. “Shorty, you got caught. Just stand in it.”

Her mouth kept opening and closing, trying to find another lie, but I was already over it.

“Nawl,” I muttered, sliding my phone back into my pocket. “Get the fuck out.”

Her head snapped back. “What?”

“You heard me.”

“Marvin, stop playing.” Her voice softened instantly as she stepped closer to me. “You know I love you.”

“Nawl,” I replied, looking down at her hands when she started reaching for my belt. “You love what comes from me.”

“Baby—”

“Watch out,” I cut in, grabbing her wrists and moving her hands away from me. My voice stayed calm, but my jaw was tight as hell. “That mouth ain’t fixing this shit.”

She stared at me for a second like she couldn’t believe I was serious.

I stepped around her and headed toward the bedroom. “And leave that phone on the counter before you go.”

“But Marvin?—”

I ignored her completely, walking into the room and shutting the door behind me before locking it.

Then, I dropped onto the bed, dragging both hands down my face. I was done with that hoe.

I couldn’t believethis nigga was really putting me out with nowhere to go. And over a bitch who wasn’t even his at that. The fact that he had recorded me and Amani fucking was still blowing my mind, too.

I sucked in a deep breath before walking down the hallway toward the bedroom. As soon as I twisted the knob and realized it wasn't moving, my whole face tightened. This nigga really locked me out.

“Marvin!” I shouted, banging against the door. “Open this damn door so I can get my stuff!”

“Nawl,” he replied from the other side, calm as hell. “You good. Ain’t shit in here for you.”

“Yes, it is,” I snapped back. “My clothes are in there.”

“All that shit staying where it’s at,” he replied. “I bought it, so it’s mine.”

My mouth flew open. I knew this nigga wasn’t serious.

“Marvin, stop playing with me.”

“Ain’t nobody playing with you,” he shot back quickly.

I stood there staring at the door, trying not to lose my shit. “So, what the fuck am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go? You know I don’t got nobody.”

“That sounds like a personal problem,” he replied without hesitation. “Should’ve thought about all that before you did what you did.”

The way he was acting threw me off because this wasn’t the Marvin I was used to. Usually, all it took was batting my eyes, using that soft voice, and maybe acting a little sad, and the nigga folded every time.

But not tonight. Tonight, he sounded cold. Too calm, and honestly? That shit reminded me of Kyrie, which only pissed me off even more.

“Marvin, please,” I tried again, pressing my forehead against the door.
