“Yes. You out here looking like that on purpose.”
Before she could say something smart back, I noticed a group of girls sitting a few tables over, whispering while looking over at us every five damn seconds.
I ignored the shit at first until one of them finally got enough courage to walk over.
“I’m sorry,” she said, smiling hard as hell while looking between Sianni and me. “Are you Kyrie Maddox?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh, my God,” She laughed nervously while pulling her phone out. “Can I get a picture of you?”
“Fasho.”
As soon as I leaned up a little, shawty stepped all in my damn space before I could even fully move.
She was too damn close. My eyes instantly flicked toward Sianni. She ain’t say nothing, but I noticed how she suddenly got real focused on fixing her straw wrapper.
The girl leaned against the side of the booth while taking the picture, then smiled again. “I’m so happy you’re okay. I was scared when I heard what happened.”
“Appreciate it.”
“And you definitely look better in person,” she added with a little laugh.
My jaw slightly tightened.
“Aight,” I said flatly. “Enjoy y’all’s food.”
The girl finally walked off after that, still cheesing while going back to her table. I looked over at Sianni again as Shawty grabbed her drink and took a sip like nothing happened. Her ass was too calm, which meant she was thinking.
I didn’t know exactly what the hell was going through Sianni’s head, but I knew one thing about shawty, whenever she got quiet like that, she was thinking.
A few minutes later, the waitress came back over with our food. As soon as she set the plates down, we said our grace before digging in.
I watched Sianni for a second while she ate. Shawty was trying to act normal, but I could tell something was still sitting in the back of her mind.
“Yo, you good?” I finally asked.
“Yeah, I’m straight.”
“You sure?” I watched her closely. “’Cause you got quiet as hell after that girl came over here.”
Sianni shrugged before taking another sip of her drink. “She was just doing a little too much. That’s all.”
“Man,” I sucked my teeth. “I wasn’t worried about that hoe, and you don’t need to be worried about her either.”
And I meant that shit. Ever since Sianni and I started whatever the hell this was between us, I really hadn’t been thinking about anybody else for real. Shawty had my attention in a way I wasn’t even used to.
So, that little fan shit? That ain’t have nothing to do with me.
“She was damn near in your lap,” Sianni said. “The way she was looking at you, I thought she wanted to suck your dick right here at the table.”
“And she still wouldn’t have got it.” I smirked a little before leaning closer toward her. “All Big Daddy dick reserved for you, baby.”
“Ugh,” she groaned, instantly rolling her eyes.
I started laughing.
I swear, I ain’t know what it was about that Big Daddy shit that got under her skin so bad, but every time I said it, she acted irritated while trying not to smile at the same damn time. And honestly? That shit was funny as hell to me.
