Suddenly, my legs couldn’t hold me up anymore. I slid down the wall until my butt hit the floor. My dress pooled around me.

Cole grabbed the man’s shirt, swung him and slammed him into the hand dryer attached to the wall. The dryer shattered, ceramic shards raining down onto the floor. Then he tossed the man and he skidded across the marble.

The man moaned, trying to turn around. Cole stood over him, then leaned down and punched him again. And again. He hammered unforgiving punches into the guy.

“Cole, enough.” Bastian and the others strode in.

Nash and Landon pulled Cole off the guy, while Rafe checked the guy’s pulse.

“Nash, get this asshole to a holding cell,” Bastian ordered. “Landon, he might need a quick patch job.”

Cole shrugged the guys off and headed toward me. “Lili.”

I looked up at him, but everything was a little fuzzy. “Hey.” I smiled. “Nice fight.”

He crouched, and I could see he was frowning. I lifted a hand and touched his lips.

“Don’t scowl. Have I told you how much I like your lips? Like, really like them. I like to look at them.” I closed my eyes. “I like when they kiss me and when you put them between my?—”

“Lili.” His big hands cupped my cheeks. “Did he hurt you?”

“I don’t remember.”

“Is she all right?” Georgie stood in the doorway, wringing her hands.

Lark appeared beside Cole and looked into my eyes. “There’s a syringe on the floor.”

The noise Cole made had me freezing.

“He drugged her.” The words were like bullets. His gaze sliced back to the groaning man.

I tried to snap my fingers, but couldn’t seem to get them to meet in the middle. “That’s it. He drugged me.”

“Her pupils are constricted,” Lark said.

“It was K Special. I mean Special K.” I let out a giggle.

“Ketamine,” Lark said.

“I’m going to kill him,” Cole gritted out.

“Get in line,” Lark clipped back.

The room did a blurry dance. “Um, I feel weird.”

Cole tipped my face up. “You’re going to be all right.”

“I know.” Then I pitched forward.

Before everything blurred to black, I felt Cole catch me.

CHAPTER 14

COLE

Ikept a tight hold on Lili as I carried her to my villa.

Her body was lax, her head lolling over my arm.
