His hand slammed against the roof as his hips jerked, a cry falling past his lips as heat barrelled through him. Tristan stroked his cock as he spilled over his hand and onto his own thighs, and while Austin’s cock was still twitching, Tristan’s arm locked around his waist, holding him tightly as he thrust against him. Tristan’s cock jerked against Austin’s spine, and hot cum spilled over his skin, joining beads of sweat as they trailed down Austin’s body.

They both went still, their humid breaths warming the cabin air. The confined space smelled strongly of sex and man. Sweat had Austin’s hair clinging to his forehead and temples, and he felt absolutely filthy as Tristan rubbed his hand down Austin’s thigh, spreading the mess around.

Austin didn’t particularly care. He collapsed backwards against Tristan with a groan. “Tired.”

Tristan guided him to sit sideways on his lap, head resting on his shoulder. He retrieved Hal’s discarded jacket andwrapped him in it, then slipped his hand beneath the curtain to open the window and let in fresh air.

“We’re almost at the estate. You can sleep. I’ll carry you in.”

Austin sensed Tristan’s smugness as he kissed the top of his head.

At Austin’s tired growl, Tristan chuckled. “Happy,my dear.”

“I wanted you to bite me.”

Tristan hesitated, then released a somewhat defeated sigh. “I tried.”

“I purposefully sat so you could reach easily, too.” Annoyance revived Austin. “Your mouth was right there as you came. You could have sunk your teeth in for a second, and that would have been enough.”

Tristan hugged Austin tighter so he couldn’t straighten up and glare at him.

“I can’t make myself bite down. I don’t want to hear you yelp in pain.”

The agonised note in Tristan’s voice stopped Austin from giving out more.

“We can do it underwater,” Austin suggested. “You won’t have to hear it.”

Tristan made a noise that let Austin know that suggestion was no better. Or, if anything, somehow worse.

Austin gnawed the inside of his cheek in contemplation.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” Tristan said. “I can’t bear the thought of even giving you a bruise, let alone drawing blood.”

“I want you to.”

“I know.”

“All the other mermen do it.”

“I know.”

“I’d happily bite you everywhere! Even if it hurts you. Isn’t it fine, then, for you to get me back, just once?”

Tristan nuzzled into Austin’s hair. “You can bite me wherever you like,” he said.

“You’ve literally been in death matches since you were a child.” Austin didn’t know why, but the story Tristan had told about Nicias popped into his head. How the swift warrior had sliced open Tristan’s face and would have been justified in killing him too, but he hadn’t. He’d put his weapon aside and brought Tristan to a healer instead.

Tristan had been raised as a warrior.

He was strong. Fast. Austin had seen enough to know he was ruthless too, to know that, had Adonis not managed to get hold of Hal first, Connor’s life would have been in real danger. But as he snuggled Austin’s head and purred out apologies, Austin thought of how he’d been treated. Spoiled at every turn. Massaged and yielded to, carefully fed and tended.

Austin cupped Tristan’s face in his hands and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. “You don’t have to. I won’t get mad or annoyed with you for not biting me anymore.”

A troubled look crossed Tristan’s face.

Austin kissed it away, pressing a kiss between Tristan’s brows like Tristan had done for him many times. “You can be gentle.”
