Chapter 13
Dreya’s POV
A week after meeting Onyx’s grandparents, we were getting ready for the night. He decided this must have been the right time to bring up our relationship. Again.
“How can you believe me, that I will forever think of you as my blood soul?”
“I don’t know!” I was frustrated. He had been saying it more and more as of late, that he loved me, that I was not only his blood wife but his blood soul. After the night of the gala, he had changed drastically. Always wanting to hold me at night, in the morning, be near me whenever he could. But I was scared. Scared to let him back in and it be one-sided. I’d be the one getting hurt. Not him.
“Whatever you need done, or need to do, do it. I am not going anywhere. You are not going anywhere.”
I huffed.“Anything?”
“Anything.”
“You may regret that.”
He smiled lovingly at me. “I will never regret anything regarding you, Dreya. With the exception of my horrible behavior towards you in the beginning.” He grimaced. “Beyond that, I regret nothing. Now and forever.”
“Anything right?” I hesitated. There was only one thing I could do to claim him, and it was almost never done. For a reason.
“Anything.”
I hummed. I went to change my clothes and when I came out, I was fidgeting. I had chosen one of my silky gowns again. I worethem often regardless of whether or not we had sex. I liked the feel of them on my skin. And apparently so did Onyx. He would rub his hands on my throughout the night. Just thinking about it made me shiver.
Onyx looked at me curiously.
I climbed into the bed next to him, and bit my lip.
“Is there something that would give you reassurance?” I turned to look at him, still biting my lip.
I whispered out, “Yes.”
He smiled softly at me. “What is it?”
I shook my head. “Anything, right?”
He nodded.“Anything.”
I nodded, and turned to him, pushing him back on to his back. He looked at me curiously.
“No regrets, right?”
“Right.No regrets.”
I leaned in towards him, then showed him my fangs, his eyes going wide.
The reason therecessivedid not usually take the blood of thesupremewas because it was considered extremely painful. There was no euphoria feeling when the blood was taken by the reverse. This would mean he trusted me completely.
Onyx stared at me in panic, gulped, then closed his eyes and turned his neck towards me.
Really? He was going to let me claim him?
Without opening his eyes, Onyx whispered out, “Take anything of me, my blood soul.”
Tears welled up in my eyes, as I leaned down, slid my hand underneath his neck, making him shiver, and I bit into him.
He yelped a bit, and his body tensed, as I punctured his skin. I didn’t bite too hard. Just enough to leave a mark. When I pulled back, blood was starting to drip down his neck. Without thinking, and before he moved, I leaned back in and licked theblood off of him. He let out a loud moan, jolting me to a stop. My lips were a mere breath away from his skin.
