“Do I?” she asked shakily. She couldn’t even begin to describe what he felt like. Her thoughts were dimming with the same strength as the sensations were growing.

His lips found hers, his length drawing back a little, and as his tongue wound with hers, he drove back in, this time deep enough to lock his groin to hers. With a barely muted groan, he muttered. “God, Siena, you feel incredible.”

But she could no longer speak. He was fully inside her, and what she was feeling was so far removed from pain that she lifted her head without thinking, seeking another of his dizzying kisses, and knotted her finger through his soft hair.

Elio hadn’t had time to savour Siena’s tight heat before, not with the shock of discovering he’d hurt her, and as he moved slowly inside her, he hazily thought it was as well he’d known he’d hurt her straight away because the feelings coursing through him now were so strong he didn’t know if he’d have been capable of finding the sense to stop. It was only because fear of hurting her again had given him such a strong grip on his control that he was able to keep himself in check now.

Needing to look at her, he lifted his head again. Her eyes had closed. Her cheeks were flushed with colour, lips slightly parted. The nails of her fingers were scraping against his skull.

“Wrap your legs around me,” he whispered.

She did as he said, and when he made his next slow thrust, her eyes fluttered open at the deepness of the penetration and locked onto his. He’d never seen the blue so dark before.

“Good?” he asked raggedly.

Her lips parted some more, but she didn’t speak. Her answer came from her nails digging deeper in his skull… And then he felt the heaven of her other hand splaying on his back.

Thrilling at the sensation of her fingers sliding the length of his back and captivated by the wonder he could see growing in her eyes, Elio slowly increased the tempo. He couldn’t tear his gaze from her. Didn’t want to tear his gaze away.

Never in his life had he felt such a connection with another, and when her arm slid tightly around him and she began to move with him, he had the sudden sensation of drowning.

Her breaths were coming in shallow gasps, her eyes pleading with him. Cupping her bottom to lift her higher and fuse themeven tighter, he drove himself a little harder into her, making her cry out softly.

Eyes locked, they began to move together, creating a rhythm and sensations that licked his entire being in flames. Slowly, the tempo and intensity of the rhythm increased, the thrills of their movements feeding the burn coursing through his veins, scorching and searing his flesh, heighteningeverything. So concentrated was he on Siena and the incredible sensations being inside her was evoking that he felt her thickening around him beats before her breath hitched and her eyes widened in shock. In the beat of a heart, he was so caught up in her climax, at the pulsations gripping him so tightly and pulling him so deeply inside her, that he was barely aware of the telltale tug of sensation that came before his own climax before he was plunging headfirst into it.

Chapter Nine

Siena’s heartwas thumping too hard for her to do more than snatch ragged breaths. The hot breaths being exhaled in her neck were coming in ragged snatches, too. Through their crushed chests, she could feel Elio’s heart pounding as hard as her own.

Her fingers were still knotted in his hair. She had no recollection of him taking her other hand, but their fingers were tightly laced.

As the spasms that had engulfed her slowly seeped out of her and the world righted itself, her stupefied brain knitted itself back into thinking mode. Tears prickled her eyes.

Closing her eyes, she swallowed hard to hold the tears at bay.

The face in the crook of her neck lifted. She felt his stare on her.

“Are you okay?”

She nodded. Her thinking brain wanted her to push him off her. The rest of her wanted to hold him even tighter.

He was still inside her. She could feel his erection loosening, but he was still there. Still a part of her. The scent of their sex filled the air around them.

Oh, God, it had been beautiful, which only made the tears stab harder. After that awful incident when she was fourteen, she’d never believed she would be capable of finding the pleasure so many other women enjoyed, had believed that part of her had been switched off. To find it hadn’t, to discover that her bodycouldexperience bliss…

Her heart expanded with a sharp swell of emotion, and she’d lifted her head and kissed him before she even knew she was going to do it.

“Thank you,” she whispered, gazing into his silver stare.

The man who hated her, whom she’d believed would make her spend her time in their marital bed degrading herself, had made love to her with tenderness and care. He’d wanted to make it good for her. He’d wanted her to experience pleasure.

It had been the most divine experience of her life.

He breathed in deeply through his nose before dropping a gentle kiss to her mouth. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

“Would you care if I wasn’t?” she asked tremulously.

She’d asked a variation of that question only one night ago. His answer had been a mocking negative.
