WRAITH CASE STUDY: AUGUSTA PINE

CONCLUSION

Ghosts linger. That is their nature, after all.

And perhaps they should. Ghosts remind us of our sins, of the wrongs that should be righted. There is a reason that the wraith program was named as such—wraiths are reflections of an imperfect world. We move through the world unseen and unnoticed.

You know my opinions on Augusta Pine. She’s impudent, crass, and highly effective. Hundreds of people live because a single wraith was in the right place at the right time.

Augusta will serve out her sentence and do more good in ten years than most ISD agents will in their entire career.

In seven years, if we’re lucky, she’ll go back to her old life.

If we’reverylucky, then Augusta will stay on. We need handlers and agents with her skills. She could continue working with us.

And if we’re very unlucky… she’ll turn her skills to more criminal endeavors. I’ll probably have to be the one to hunt her down.

Either way, she is one of us. For now.

Aww, Prefect. I didn’t know you cared. And that entire case study was very well-written—good job. Not that you’ll ever see this. Or know that I saw it. I prefer not to have my life story floating around the ISD servers. Especially now that I’m out.

Just a little upload and—
