I started to tug them up, but something was weighing them down.
Oh yes.
I mean, oh no.
No, no, no.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what the little device was he’d somehow attached to my panties while I was distracted.
“I’m opening my eyes,” he warned, and I hurriedly put the fabric in place—mini vibrator and all. He stretched an arm out acrossthe back of the couch. I didn’t even notice the little plastic remote in his hand until he clicked a button.
I jolted when vibration buzzed between my legs.
“Nah, not right.”
It feels pretty damn right to me.
The power cut, and Rhys leaned forward again. He took something off the front of my panties and adjusted the vibrator position before pushing it between my folds.
And right against my clit.
His deft, thick fingers were so close to my core. Grazing until I was literally shaking with need.
He put the piece—a magnet, I realized—back into place to hold the device where he wanted it before slouching again. He touched the remote.
I jolted again and barely bit back a whimper at the intensity on my clit.
“There we go,” he said, looking pretty damn pleased with himself. “Pull your jeans up.”
If I’d been tempted to argue or point out the multitude of reasons why it was a bad idea, his expectant smirk would’ve been enough to change my mind. He was waiting for a fight.
One that I had no interest in giving.
It was my turn to hold the eye contact as I shimmied my jeans over my ass and secured them.
The challenge in his hooded eyes morphed to a kind of mutual pain as he watched.
He wasn’t turned off that things jiggled on my body.
He was turned on.
A fact he made abundantly clear by pushing the heel of his palm against the erection that was trapped at an uncomfortable angle in his black jeans. And unlike me, he didn’t—or couldn’t—bite back his gruff whimper.
I wanted to memorize the sound. To record it. I would set it as my alarm. I would even take my phone off silent and set it as my ringtone.
It would be the soundtrack I played every time I touched myself.
But the whimper and the heat in his gaze were both gone, along with the vibration. He was back to looking bored as he gave a dismissive flick toward the door. “Go finish your stuff before we open.”
This is going to be a disaster.

LUNA
It was beyond a disaster.
