“So, Kenneth, IT, right? What about you?” Issac asks cheerfully, turning his attention to the man beside me.
I tune out, scanning the menu as the boys carry on talking. I opt for the steak and fries—fuck the diet. I live alone, so it means I won’t have to cook later.
“What about you? Are you married?” Declan asks me from across the table, twisting his wedding ring around his finger.
“Nope.” I wipe my forehead in mock relief. “You?” I direct this at Issac who grins at me.
“Do I have to answer that?”
I frown, but I’m distracted by the server bringing over our drinks. As she hands out the beverages, I catch Issac gazing at me, a mischievous look on his face. I shake my head with a smile, lifting my soda to my lips.
Why is he staring at me like that?
More importantly, why did I like it?
CHAPTER 2
BLAKE
My head throbs and my tongue is now one with the roof of my mouth.
My nose is probably still caked in cocaine, and when I realize there’s some chick in my bed, I let out a groan.
She’s wearing a pink party hat, her white-blonde hair slightly yellow near the roots.
Ugh, fucking hell.
My eyes skim down her body, and I rememberwhyI brought her home.
She’s a dancer—and a flexible one at that.
But now, she needs to leave.
“Morning, honey.” I rub her back lightly, kissing her shoulder.
She stinks of beer and sex.
“I’ve got to go to work; my driver will take you home.”
“Huh?”
Her kohl-lined eyes blink at me, and I wink at her before climbing out of bed.
“Last night was fun, but I’ve got to go to work.”
She tugs the sheet to her chest, frowning at me.
Don’t be difficult.
“Can I ride with you?”
Like fuck you can.
“No.” I force a smile. “My driver is outside waiting.”
I grab my phone from the side, punching in a text to Silas, my driver, instructing him to take this girl home.
“Are you just going to send me away like I’m some kind of whore?” the girl snaps, tugging on her cheap dress.
