I can’t believe her audacity.

“After I said no?”

“Could you excuse us, Issac?” Danielle smiles at the man drowning in her eyes, and he jumps to his feet.

“Have dinner with me tonight, and I’ll go.”

Is he serious?

I cut my eyes at him as Danielle glances at me.

I shake my head in warning, and Danielle decides to stun me even further. “Can I let you know?”

Issac forces a smile, but he’s pissed.

I can’t blame him.

I mean,lookat her.

“Sure thing.”

Issac leaves, and Danielle closes the blinds in my office.

“Oh, I like where this is going,” I remark with a smirk, reaching out to grip her by the waist.

“Blake,” Danielle hisses, pushing my hands away. “I told you, it’s inappropriate. I’m doing this because everyone in the office expects us to fuck over your desk now we’re married. So let them think that’s what’s happening.”

“But…”

“Blake, I’m serious about Skies.” Danielle stares down at me, her tongue wetting her lower lip.

My dick aches, and I badly want to fuck her over my desk.

“We need to bail them out.”

I stare heavenward and let out a deep sigh.

“Either that or lose a fuck load of money.”

I’m annoyed because she’s right.

I’m even more annoyed that my father was right.

She’s good at her job.

“What’s in it for me?”

The words are out before I can stop them, but the look in her eyes makes me cringe.

“I pretend to be your wife for five fucking years.”

“But last night?—”

Danielle puts up a hand, leaning over my desk so I can see the swell of her breasts. “No. We’re not doing this. Unless you can look me in the eye and tell me it’s more than sex.”

I’mnotfalling in love with her again.

“It’s more than that.”
