She’s right. On paper.

“What do you want to be?” I mumble into her, her thighs quivering as I lift her ass from the side, presenting her to me like the breakfast I crave.

“Mm,” Danielle moans, her nails scratching against my scalp. “I want to be yours.”

“Mine,” I growl, inserting a finger into her tight hole. “You want to be mine?”

Danielle doesn’t answer because she’s nearing insanity, her breathing ragged as I finger fuck her, my mouth sucking again on her clit before I lift my head to hers.

She’s coming undone, but I’m not finished.

“Youaremine, Danielle. Do you hear me? You’re mine. And you know what else?”

“Blake!” Danielle cries out, and as she contracts around my finger, I push my pants down, rubbing my cock against her wetness.

Thrusting into her always feels like the first time, and she hisses as my thumb finds her clit.

“I’m yours.”

CHAPTER 24

DANIELLE

“Good morning.”

I half choke on Blake’s dick when a cheery voice greets us from the front of the house.

“Fuck,” Blake hisses, hoisting his pants up as he helps me to my feet. “It’s my mom.”

Clawing at my robe, I dab at my mouth, praying I haven’t got that just-caught-sucking-my-husband-off look about me when Blake’s mother walks into the room.

She’s a striking woman, but the circles under her eyes show that she’s missing her husband dearly.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you’d be up and dressed.” She waves a hand, giving me a warm smile. “I just thought I’d drop by since I went to the office today, and you weren’t in.”

Blake clears his throat, giving his mother a meaningful look. “Well, here we are. Coffee?”

His mom smirks as she perches on a stool, leaning close to me. “Doesn’t he have lovely manners, huh? Is he treating you well?”

“I amhere, Ma.” Blake sighs from the coffee machine, resting his hands on the counter.

“I know you’re here, Blake James. You’re impossible to ignore.”

“How are you?” I ask as she turns to me with a sad expression.

“Sad. I keep thinking it’s going to get easier…but it doesn’t. I miss him every day.”

Her honesty cuts deep, and I glance at Blake, knowing I wouldn’t be able to cope with losing him again.

In any capacity.

He seems to read my mind, placing a coffee before his mom, then handing me a cup. His eyes hold my gaze, and I smile at him, losing myself in his eyes.

“Good God. You’re aware you don’t have to pretend you’re in love in front of me, right, honey?”

I’ve got a stupid smile on my face, and I sip my coffee, hoping that Blake answers for me.

“Actually, Mom…we’re not pretending.”
