Why did I cry?! Are you seriously asking me that?! BECAUSE I AM NOT A HEARTLESS MONSTER!
Are you honestly telling me you didn’t cry when Jane was talking about taking her son to school and daydreaming about their pretend future?? Because tears. Just pouring out of my eyes.
Worried for your soul,
Kate

I don’t even care if I’m late. Gail will understand (I told her to watch it too).
Fiction doesn’t get to you?? I’m sorry, who am I speaking to?? I don’t understand. We have spent many days discussing our mutual obsession of TF and the hole it left in our hearts. How,HOWcan you say “it’s not real.” LORD. Well, no kidding, it’s not real, but IT IS REAL. And it is so sad and beautiful and tragic and heart-wrenching and hopeful … GAH. I’m crying again just thinking about it.
This conversation isnotover. I really have to go now. But this is NOT OVER.
You think you know somebody …

SUBJECT: CALM YOURSELF
Kate,
I have never gotten very emotional over fiction. I know it’s not real. But as you pointed out, I am mostly heartless. I never cried over TF either. It was a huge part of my childhood, but it wasn’t entirely about the show … exactly. It was more about where I was and who I was around at that time. It’s difficult to explain. Maybe you’re right though. Maybe, I do need a good cry to get on with my life …
You better not get me in trouble with Gail. There’s nothing more to discuss, but we can continue to debate and I can continue to be right later. Get to work!
Heartless Monster
