“My god, what was that?” She breathed out.

I only had one answer. “That was without a doubt worth losing one hundred and fifty grand for.”

She gave a soft chuckle and turned to me, her eyes finding mine. “I’m so sorry.”

I brushed away a lock of hair stuck to her forehead. “I’m not. Not even a little bit.”

And that was the absolute truth, even if I couldn’t have afforded it. What I’d just experienced was priceless.

I eased out of her, removing the condom, and dropped it on the floor by the bed, not willing to move any further away from her. Time stopped and we lay there in silence, allowing the air con to cool our scorched skin.

Then she tried to sit up.

“What are you doing?”

“I need to go and find my friends.”

What?

I ignored the tightness in my chest on hearing her words. We hadn’t even had a fucking cuddle; at least I usually stuck around for that. In fact, I prided myself on sticking around for that, cuddling was my third favorite stress reliever after sex and hockey. I might have not been a relationship guy, but I didn’t up and leave the second it was over.

I wasn’t Coop.

And I definitely wasn’t ready to give her back.

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into me, rolling on top of her. “Oh no sweetheart, you’re not going anywhere. We have all night.I’m not even a little bit done with you yet.”

I began nuzzling against her neck until her legs parted further, and she moaned in defeat. I hoped she was in for the long haul, because I had no plans for sleep.

Ipulled out of her for a sixth time as dawn broke on the horizon. We’d fucked everywhere – shower; desk; against the windows; bed; sofa; floor; wall.

And I still wanted more.

Our breathing had synched together; I was now staring up at the ceiling as I tried to make sense of the niggle in my chest, and wondering how I could keep her here.

She broke the silence first. “I think you’ve destroyed my vagina.”

I laughed loudly, turning to her with my eyebrow raised suggestively. “I can fix it for you if you’d like?”

“Oh, you’ve done enough.” Her warm palm sparked against my chest as she pushed me away, her beautiful face softened with a sigh. “I really do have to go now.”

She brushed her lips against mine before getting out of bed. I tried not to huff, I couldn’t keep her captive no matter how much I wanted to, but I needed more.

I didn’t want to let her go.

Somewhere around three a.m. I’d stopped questioning what the fuck was going on in my brain. And heart.

I ran my hands through my hair. “I’m leaving tonight but really have to see you again. Meet me for lunch.”

Her brow creased as she started pulling her dress back on, hiding her heavenly body. I had a sudden urge to burn all her clothes.

“Really?”

I reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her back on top of me and in for a kiss. I swept my tongue against hers before wrapping my fist in her hair, and gently tugged her head back. “Yes, really. Don’t say no, Lucky Charm. Please. Meet me downstairs at twelve.”

She moved her lips to the side, thinking. “Okay. But I do have to go now. My friends will be wondering where I am.”

“Give me your number.” I got out of bed, and picked up my phone only to find a black screen. Fuck, I’d forgotten it had died. “Hang on, let me charge it.”
