“What are you going to do?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know, but I know I need to talk to her because I can’t stop thinking about her.”
Drew’s frown deepened. “Wait. What do you mean you can’t stop thinking about her? Like thinking about her orthinkingabout her?”
“The latter.” I sipped my beer. “Assuming you meant the kissing part of the thinking about her.”
“Yep.”
“Then, yes.” I put my beer down, reaching for the massive bag of M&Ms on the table and dropped a handful into my mouth. Chocolate was the only thing bringing me joy right now. “I’m fucked, right? Because, what do I do?”
Jupiter took the bag from me and poured it on the table spreading them out, and I watched him pick out the blue ones to eat first. Molly did that, but with the red ones. He looked at me once he’d finished them all.
“How do you feel about her?”
I didn’t even have to think about it. “I love her; she’s one of my best friends.”
He narrowed his eyes at me. “But that’s how you feel about her being your friend. How do you feel about having more with her? Because they’re not the same thing, and if you even think for one second you might not be into it, then I suggest you walk in the opposite direction as quickly as possible,” he chuckled darkly, “or in your case, hop, because you will fuck it all up permanently. And make no mistake, love kicks your fucking ass whether you want it to or not.”
He went back to the M&Ms, this time eating the yellow ones.
My head shifted between Drew and Jupiter, then back.
“Jupe, anything you want to talk about?”
He picked up his beer, tipping it back and finishing the bottle. “Not really. We’re talking about you.”
Drew stood up and walked to the pantry, returning with another beer, plus a bottle of whiskey and two glasses, pouring it out and passing one to me and one to Jupiter.
He took in my raised eyebrow. “I have a game tomorrow unlike you two, but that doesn’t mean we’re not talking this through without alcohol. And I happen to be deeply in love and in the perfect position to help the pair of you reprobates.”
“Says the former reprobate himself.” Jupiter mumbled, picking up his glass and studying it before sipping.
If I’d been able to reach, I’d have smacked the smug grin right off Drew’s face.
“Yes, ‘former’ being the operative word, thanks to your sister. And I have never been happier.”
“I’m happy,” Jupiter protested, “and I have no issues with who I sleep with. I don’t want a relationship, so what the fuck else am I supposed to do? I can’t jerk off forever.”
I sipped my whiskey, relishing the burn as it hit my throat for the first time. “Dude, you literally just teared up about some long-lost love.”
“No, I fucking didn’t, I was just using a hypothetical example. Anyway, we’re talking about you and what you’re going to do about Cooper Marks’ sister, who is going to beat your ass by the way.”
I crossed my arms over my head with a groan, leaving them there while I tried to fill my lungs with oxygen, because it had suddenly become hard to breathe, and not think about Cooper pummeling the shit out of me.
“Reeves, shut up. Coop’s not going to kick anything.”
I looked over at Drew, my brows practically through my hairline because we all knew that wasn’t true.
He turned from Jupiter to me. “Felix, Coop is not going to kick your ass. Well, not hard anyway. But Jupe is right, you have to think about this properly, because this is Molly we’re talking about.Molly.She’s one of us.”
I groaned again, my face dropping in my hands. This was a mess.
“That being said, I was there the first time you saw her, so I will always have your back.”
I peered up as Jupiter fetched a third glass, pouring more out and putting one in front of Drew. “What happened the first time he saw her?”
“It was like he had cartoon hearts spinning round his head,” Drew grinned.
