About to pour for them, she was stopped by Seb.

“Don’t touch it.”

It was Sunny’s turn to frown. “What do you mean? It’s a gift.”

“That some strange fucker stopped by when I was away from the table to give you.” Suddenly, Seb was on his feet, pulling Sunny to his side. “Come on, we’re going upstairs.” He hooked up the bottle and left the glasses, taking Sunny’s hand, nearly speed-walking to the elevator.

Getting a weird vibe from him, like the air had suddenly turned frigid, she trotted after him down their hallway and into the room, where she watched with amazement and confusion when Seb took the large champagne bottle into the bathroom and poured the lot down the sink before dumping the empty bottle into the trash.

“Seb. What’s going on?”

His face was tight as he kicked off his boots and untucked the shirt from his jeans. “We don’t take gifts from strangers.”

“It was an old man, or at least much older than us.”

“Don’t care if it was Santa Claus. If he was watching us, why not wait until I was back at the table? It’s weird as fuck he came over when it was only you.”

“Okay,” Sunny said slowly, watching how Sebastian no longer looked relaxed. “You’re making me feel a type of way, Seb. Is this something to worry about?”

When he sent her his gaze from a few feet away, she felt the stare down to her stomach and shivered at how deadly her sweet boy looked. But then that look vanished, and Seb smirked, approaching with slow steps.

“What’s worrying is why my wife isn’t out of this dress already.”

Okay, that was nice, and any tension she felt for that weirdness drained out of Sunny as she giggled when he caught her around the waist, crushing them together, making Sunny raise on her tiptoes, though she would never match Seb’s height, only if she had a step stool.

“Maybe you should take the dress off me,” she suggested, hoping he would.

And then the heat returned to the room. Shimmering between them, burning her skin as Seb’s hands moved sensually, mapping her body, cupping both breasts.

“My fucking pleasure.” He growled.

There was only one thing on Sunny’s mind for the next few hours before she slept.

And that one thing was Sebastian.

TWENTY-SIX

Sebastian

Once he knew Sunny was in a deep sleep, he left a soft kiss on her temple, hating having to roll away from her to slide out of bed, but that’s what he did, and he walked on silent feet into the next room, closing the door behind him.

He might have loved being between his wife’s thighs for the last hours, bringing her to spectacular orgasms before he stroked himself off with her help, spilling on her belly, but no amount of feel-good climaxes could stop the rage fizzling throughout Seb’s veins as he called his president.

When he had a gut feeling, he had to follow it.

“Priest.” The amused tone Rider answered with, “Didn’t think you’d resurfacefor days.”

“Ordinarily, you wouldn’t hear from me.” The last thing he wanted to do was interrupt his quickie honeymoon. “But I have an issue I need looking into.”

“What’s that?”

“Some guy approached Sunny at our table tonight, brought over champagne, and said it was a gift for newlyweds while I was in the can. He took off before I got back. Sunny didn’t get any hinky vibes.”

“But you did?”

“After what’s gone on recently, yeah, Prez. It’s fucking weird. I wasn’t gonna let my wife drink booze from a stranger.”

“I get that. What do you need?”
